Car parking was a nightmare, not enough space. On my second night 2 separate anglers had to tour the lakes looking for someone who had blocked them in. The track to Scout Lake was just churned mud and difficult to get a loaded barrow through. Pegs on Scout Lake are very close together and anglers are back to back with those fishing the main lake. Loads of noise, loads of anglers with loud music and people shouting across the lake, and dogs barking constantly. Wasn’t impressed and won’t be back. This was a recce visit for a whole lake booking of Scout Lake. Not a chance would I recommend this place or want to take my friends there.

Sadly no tench I suspect they only feed at night as the lake gin clear Rudd 1 every cast until a pike appeared a nice looking lake nonetheless,the one portaloo overwhelmed as a bank holiday with the specimen lake full

Had a lovely couple of days at Horcott. Marvellous rustic open back type of lake. Unfortunately I drew a blank but I will be back. All bailiffs very helpful- especially Ian. Thanks Guys and keep up the great work

The lake was brilliant plenty of advice from all the bailiffs. Cannot fault them at all. The only thing that let this place down was the toilet facility which was always blocked and not very clean. Other than I will be going again and hopefully catch next time.

Horcott lake is a lovely place the lake is big with the pegs spread out, but if you have to use the toilet there is only a port a loo on site which seemed to be full most days overflowing with other peoples mess. Other that than that it’s a stunning place in the costwolds.

The only down side was booking through Catch - i planned 1 night on one lake and 2 nights on the other. Catch cannot cope with this as one booking and I had to pay 2 lots of booking fees. Being completely transparent this is a problem with the booking system rather than the lake itself. More generally though I hate paying additional ‘fees’ and it was only because I really wanted to fish Horcott that I proceeded.

Overall I enjoyed my trip to horcott, a hard lake to fish due to it being a shallow lake and very weedy. (Didn't catch)

Its a nice environment , nice fish stocked , the fishing is not easy it takes a fair bit if water craft to get in the fish , once one them its pretty hectic fishing wiv some great fish to catch . Its a very rewaeding place when you get the right tactics overall its a 4 *s from me
