This is my second time using goldcar and both times I’ve had a positive experience. Great value, friendly staff and an easy check in and check out. I will definitely use them again

Terrible experience with Goldcar. My wallet was stolen shortly before flying to Nice, France. We therefore needed to change the driver to my wife having booked through easyjet. Easyjet were not open when we arrived with two kids and in need of a car so we couldn’t change the name via them. Goldcar just said ‘computer says no’. Goldcar ended up hiring us the same car we had already paid £400 for, for another £600. They were utterly unhelpful.

Car was so badly scratched and scraped and dented, I videoed it to be sure they wouldn’t make me liable for damage on return. Thankfully they didn’t, but I didn’t enjoy driving such a battered looking car. On collection, I had to wait over an hour to get served.

Basma, person in charge for my rental car was funny, and very effective. I had a good moment picking up my car.

Very friendly staff, clean and nice car. The returning of the car was fast and without any problems. Thank you!

one of the best hire car companies I have used the staff and knowledgeable efficient and quick when booking the car upon returning it they were just as efficient with a quick inspection and my deposit was Returned, happily use this company again

Collection and return of the car was simple enough and 100% better than my previous experience of Goldcar in Spain which was terrible. I always carry worldwide car insurance and do not appreciate car rental companies either trying to scare me about what it will and will not cover or upsell me on their own products

Staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful, great service

Having avoided using Goldcar in the past due to their less than stellar reputation, I had a surprisingly pain free experience at Bordeaux airport. There was no hard sell of add-ons (I have my own CDW excess policy already) and the team were very professional. The only minor quibble is that the car had a number of pre-existing dints & scratches, one of which was not reflected in the paperwork which therefore needed amending. Tbf to the team that was done immediately and revised documentation issued to me. However you do need to spend a little time at collection ensuring that the vehicle condition documents correctly reflect the actual set of marks.

Key & Go very easy and quick to use, the drawback is you then have to queue for an exit code for the barriers

Great rental reasonable price good return process.

We had a good car for a good price, very well chosen. A Fiat 3doors. Only a terrible beeb when driving backwards and the lack of a warning when parking too close between two cars was a little bit annoying.
But overall, next time for us: Goldcar!

you book a Nissan qashqai or comparable SUV but get an MG ZS, a car that is absolutely not comparable and also has dangerously little power.

Overall very satisfied with the experience of renting with GoldCar. Only slight complaint would be the interior cleanliness of the vehicle.

A good overall experience, easy to book and the staff were helpful. The car was clean and tidy and did what was required.
