This company is the WORST

This company is the WORST. I really wish I knew about them before being conned into using them. If your payments is not make the day is due they start calling with their rude non customer service. Spoke with a worker today who wanted me to make a second payment because they didn't see my payment even though I told her my payment was made yesterday thru my bank. Mind you my payment was due on the 24th today is the 27. Payment was made on the 26. I'm ready to take another loan from somewhere else just to never have to deal with this company again.

My reaction is mixed ; terrible and outstanding.

My reaction is mixed. When I first called for customer service, the first contact passed me to a second rep. When I explained my need to this fellow, he hung up! When I received my next bill, somehow I was enrolled in auto-pay for the minimum monthly pmt. I sent in a check for 10% of balance on about 2/5. That check was only cashed a few days ago. i had no idea what was going on with my account. Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Marvie, a thoughtful and creative rep who set me up for an autopay in the amount that would pay off loan by December. much different experience! Marvie is a real pro. so. my rating is the sum of a 5 for Marvie and a 1 for the other two reps.

LIARS…RUN FAST

I refinanced my home which included three Good Leap accounts. I had an
Overpayment on two accounts. After several calls asking when I would receive my refund checks, I was lied to about the date they were issued. I still haven’t received one check even though I was told it was released on January 28. Now they are telling me it was January 30 and I have to wait until February 27 to call back if I haven’t received it by then. Their customer service is horrible. They consistently lied to me and hung up on me when I had questions.
When I saw only $3 to $5 was going towards the principal every month, it was time to RUN.
BEWARE if you use them!!!!

This company is the ABSOLUTE worst

This company is the ABSOLUTE worst! Stay away from doing business with them at all cost.
We bought a wall mount heater/boiler system from a reputable local company, who in turn had us do financing through Goodleap.
First they started calling us 5x a week, saying we didn't pay our bill on time. It was a matter of our pay schedule and the due date of loan payment. We spoke to them, rectified the situation and now send payment as soon as we get the bill in the mail, 1st of the month. Now, they have started harassing us again, calling at least 5x/6x a week. Our next course of action will taking them to court. I had to put a start date in, but this has been ongoing for at 1 year.

Expect full utility bills and no support from GoodLeap

GoodLeap utilizes 3rd parties to sell their systems. They do not fully disclose how the system functions and therefore you will encounter unexpected utility bills, at least during your first year of service. I have had to pay my regular monthly utility bill throughout this first winter because the system has not stored power. Instead of saving money on my utility bills, I have ended up paying extra for solar power that I am not utilizing this first winter. GoodLeap is unwilling to address the problem and only cites the Terms and Conditions of their contract.

The Worse Company I Have Ever Dealt With

I have never worked wth a company that is so unprofessional and offers no support or communication. I wanted to pay for a window replacement job in full. When I called Good Leap to ask for a pay off amount, I was given the run around for weeks before I finally got an invoice. I day I got the invoice, I put a check for the pay off amount along with one month of accrued interest (even though it was their fault that the loan was not paid off right after installation). They did not cash my check until 3 weeks later blaming the slow post office and sent me another bill for interest. When I asked them to review their calls logs to see how many times I called them requesting an invoice, none of my calls were on their log-only the times they called me. They pass you off from department to department with no resolution. Someone from customer care called me yesterday to tell me that they were going to start deducting a monthly payment amount from my checking account without reviewing that I had paid off the loan. Under no circumstance should you use this company for any reason.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. EVEN A LOAN SHARK WOULD BE BETTER

It took about 5 phone calls for goodleap to set up the loan correctly. Now the loan is paid off, but they still debited a payment. I was told it had to clear and then I had to wait 5-10 business days for my refund. This was a large amount of money and I am running the risk of insufficient funds in my bank account I wrote to customer service and my request was "espeditied." Then radio silence. Still don't have my money back

We used them for HVAC loan

We used them for HVAC loan, which is supposed to be for 11,500.00 when we got the first statement it said 14,000.00. Defiantly not what we signed on the contract. We were told it is a daily interest accruing loan. which again was not disclosed to us at signing. Any missed or late payments also tack on more interest. So, you will never get rid of the loan, have a balloon payment at end or be told there is a fee to close your account completely. This company is a real scam and should have to eat ever loan that they have given out this way. Will be two years and principal amount never goes down.

I gave Good Leap 1 star because I could…

I gave Good Leap 1 star because I could not give 0 stars.

I only financed with them because Anderson was giving a $500 discount to finance with them. I sent a cashiers check for payment in full to their Richardson, Texas address one month before interest (and payments) were set to start.

I have the FedEx receipt, copy of the check, proof of delivery, and they are still claiming to not receive it and have been giving me the runaround for a month.

Avoid them at all costs.

This company should be ashamed of…

This company should be ashamed of themselves for recommending a predatory financing company like GoodLeap. They are nothing but crooks.

Last summer (2025) was extremely hot. When my air conditioning unit failed, the heat became unbearable. As any mother would, I made a sacrifice for my children without hesitation. Best Care Plumbing, Heating & Air advised me to use GoodLeap for financing. At the time, I trusted their recommendation.

I was not properly informed about what I was signing up for. I am a single mother of two, dealing with 100+ degree temperatures, and I believed I was making a responsible decision to keep my children safe. The HVAC system cost $15,000, financed in May 2025.

At no point did the Best Care representative clearly explain the interest rate. I even recall asking about interest, assuming—like most lines of credit—there would be a promotional period. What I later discovered is that GoodLeap applied a hidden 12.99% interest charge on every dollar of the loan.

When I recently reviewed my GoodLeap online statement, I was completely heartbroken. Since July 2025, I have made every payment on time (they give two “free” months at the beginning). As of January 2026, only $15 has been applied to my principal balance.

GoodLeap is now attempting to collect over $34,000 on a $15,000 loan.

Now I understand why the Best Care representative was so eager to run my credit over the phone. Once GoodLeap paid them for the job, the burden and confusion were left entirely on me—the customer.

To be clear, the technicians who installed the HVAC system did an excellent job. This review is not about them. It is about the financing scheme and the lack of transparency.

GoodLeap is a predatory lender. If anyone from Best Care Plumbing, Heating & Air tries to push this financing on you, close the door. They took advantage of a mother’s love for her children during a vulnerable moment.

This is a terrible company and a total scam operation. Before making any decisions, please take the time to read the reviews on GoodLeap Financing. Had I known then what I know now, I would have never agreed to this financing. I hope my experience helps prevent another family from being taken advantage of. Situations like this are exactly why a class action lawsuit should be pursued to hold this company accountable for its predatory practices.

DO NOT GET A SOLAR PANEL LOAN FROM THIS COMPANY BE WARNED!

DO NOT GET A LOAN FROM GOODLEAP FOR SOLAR PANELS. I AM EARNESTLY TRYING TO WARN EVERYONE OF THIS COMPANY BUSINESS MODEL SCAM!!!!

If I could, I would give a negative five-star review. This company employs predatory lending practices to trap uninformed new clients in loan contracts that they can never escape. It is a brilliant business model for them and creates an absolute financial tsunami for most clients needing to sell their homes who don't have their solar panel loans paid off at the time of the sell of the home. They are heartless individuals who lack compassion and are unwilling to assist clients in financial hardship. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM EVER ON THE PLANET!!! NOT JOKING AND IF YOU CHOOSE TO ENTER INTO A CONTACT WITH THESE PEOPLE DON'T SAY I DID'T WARN YOU! The nights of panic attacks, mental breakdowns, and absolute frustration are not worth your mental health. Please heed my warning.

I was unable to afford my home and had to put the house on the market in November 2025. At that time, I found out that my mother had stage 3 cancer, needing a total radical hysterectomy and was due to start chemotherapy in December 2025. From the moment I received an offer on my house on December 4, 2025, I started trying to work with GoodLeap to transition the solar power loan into a personal loan so that the UCC filing (a lien on the house) could be removed, allowing me to sell the house to the new owners. GoodLeap refused to work with me amidst my financial hardship, putting me through an endless cycle of unhelpful customer service experiences. I was told to email the settlement team, only to receive an automatically generated message instructing me to call the service center again.

The new owners did their research on GoodLeap and stated that they refused to take over the solar panel loan. I was left to figure out how to come up with 33,000 dollars in four weeks or lose the contract on my house and go into foreclosure because I could not make the January 2026 mortgage payment. This is a testament to how heartless this company is: my mother had to take an equity loan out on her house just to help me pay off the loan in full at the time of closing so that I could sell my house and move into her house to take care of my father, who is bedbound with MS, and a mother who has cancer. That was 33,000 dollars that my parents needed for their healthcare, and GoodLeap refused to work with me to get the UCC filing removed. Shame on them!

Phantom fees continuously added to paid account

I received a loan in order to re-pipe my townhouse due to a water leak. The loan was for $25,000. I was able to pay off the loan 10 months early, so I paid the balance. Two weeks later, looked at my account and noticed that they were charging me an extra $29. I called the company, and the representative noted that after I pay the $29, the loan would be paid in full. Less than 2 weeks later, an amount of $107 was added to the amount I owe. I called again, and they explained that the $107 was a fee for paying my loan off early. This fee would be due even if let my loan run to maturity. The representative noted that my loan would not close until I pay this fee. She communicated this message with an air of intimidation. I do not suggest doing business with GoodLeap as they charge many hidden fees and are quite unwilling to negotiate. I am afraid that I will pay $107 and they will add another fee.

Review for GoodLeap / Solar Sales… systematic oppression of the poor

Review for GoodLeap / Solar Sales Experience
Consultant: Lauren Morganstein

I want to be clear from the start: Lauren Morganstein was kind, patient, and very detail-oriented during her presentation. She took time to explain the system, answered my questions, and treated me with warmth and respect. We even shared laughs about festivals we’ve attended, and she genuinely came across as someone who cared. On a human level, my interaction with her felt real and sincere.

That said, I feel it’s important to share the full experience — especially for people who may be financially disadvantaged or under stress.

At the time of this presentation, I was in a very vulnerable place financially, worried about basic needs like being able to buy food for my family. In that state, I was presented with a solar lease that was framed as a way to save money and get relief from rising utility bills. The messaging made it feel like help — like something that would ease my burden.

Only after carefully reviewing the details did I realize that this was a 25-year lease with annual escalators, not ownership, and that the long-term cost and loss of flexibility could actually put someone like me at greater financial risk. The projected “savings” rely heavily on assumptions about future utility rate increases, while the solar payment itself increases every year regardless of personal circumstances.

What’s heartbreaking is that this type of model can easily feel supportive and reassuring to someone in desperation — not because the consultant is being unkind, but because the corporate structure and sales framing benefit from urgency and vulnerability. When you’re struggling, it’s hard to slow down and fully see how these agreements can lock you into decades-long obligations.

I don’t believe Lauren intentionally tried to harm me. In fact, she was professional and personable throughout. But I do believe this experience shows how large corporations can unintentionally take advantage of people who are already struggling, by presenting complex, long-term financial products as short-term relief.

I’m sharing this so others will:
• Ask more questions
• Take more time
• Get independent advice
• And understand the difference between feeling helped and being financially protected

Kindness in delivery does not always equal fairness in structure — and people deserve transparency, especially when they’re vulnerable.
