Being an investor on GoPeer for 2 years now. Nothing bad to say. It is the exact same thing as they advertised, 0 surprise. I'm staying invested in the forseeable future.

My experience with goPeer has been excellent. The process was smooth, simple, and transparent from the start. The support team was very professional and responsive whenever I had a question. Easy to apply, but also a bit nerve-wracking as you have no idea what the interest rate offer or loan amount will cone back at. And when it does come in, it can take hours to days to fund depending on the amount and the funding....in the end it was lower then the rate on my credit card so that what was I was looking for so it worked out.

Such a great experience overall. I love the concept so much and I look so forward to investing further on down the road. The customer service was fantastic and it was such a smooth process.

I used GoPeer to get a personal loan to pay off credit card debt. Because my credit score was low (600s) I basically got approved for a loan with a 19% interest rate and a total APR of 24% (give or take a fraction of a percent). The process involved submitting some pictures of my ID, linking my bank account and a phone call. This was all done in the span of 2 days. The loan was approved a few minutes after the phone call (not sure if this is the norm or not). Mind you, this was after my loan application was refused from a couple of banks.
Since GoPeer is not a bank, once the loan was approved there was a wait period for the loan to be ''funded''. Basically GoPeer investors (i.e random people) put their own money for your loan as an investment. This was the first time I experience such a thing so I did not know what to expect. But on your GoPeer account, you can see the progress of your loan being ''funded''. It took 4 days to get the full amount, which ended up being a weekend day. So I had to wait an extra 4 business days to get the money in my account. The customer support was good, in the sense that my questions were answered whithin a reasonable time frame. They have a phone contact, so during work hours, it was not difficult to get a hold of a person. They were also clear about their explanations and with their answers.
In general GoPeer worked for me as a borrower. The interest rate was high for a private loan but given that traditional banks turned me down. I did not have many other choices, and private lending is not known for its cheap APR to begin with. My loan ended up being over 3 years and I thought given my situation the bi-weekly payments were reasonable. They did send out a couple of offers with varying interest rates and payment structures so it is up to you to decide what works given your situation.
I did not see a borrower review before, so I hope this can help give you a more concrete picture.

Good platform, easy to use! My returns rates are positive since 2 years, and i would like to invest more in the future…. I would appreciate more statistics, or access to datas that I can analyse by myself…. Overall, I will continue to move forward with GoPeer
