I have purchased thousands of dollars of GoPro equipment. I have this GoPro max 360 that seems like a cool device but it’s a total piece of garbage. Had massive issues getting the battery lid back on. I called customer service and through their automated system, I got hung up on. GoPro is a garbage company that’s just like riding on the laurels of how cool it was when I first started.
Competition, you can destroy GoPro Because they’re a whole bunch of husbands that only rely on what they achieved initially. Please come for a better solution.

My son ordered a case in October for holiday. We are now in February and still haven’t received it. We’ve sent emails and done online chats where they promised to get back to us but never do. He’s now spoken to them on the phone twice where they promised to get back to him, but still nothing. Awful customer service, do not buy from them!!
Don’t buy
Don’t buy , you have been warned. Cloud storage is absolutely dreadful, unreliable and not worth it using it drives you crazy. There are plenty of other cameras out there, buy one of those. At this rate go slow will be out of business soon.

i gave go pro and a subscription to my grandson for christmas, 2023. he stopped using go pro after 6 months and asked that i not review. My AMEX was automatically dinged because those are go pro terms. I went to their web site for instructions to cancel. I tried everything but nothing worked. I am still on the hook for next year so now i have to get AMEX to KILL the go pro account and put in the NEVER RENEW category.
Faulty product and awful service
My Go Pro randomly stopped working with issues with it freezing and not recording properly. I contacted them for support and I was told I would hear back by email within 48 hours, but obviously never did...I chased two weeks later and then was told I would receive a free Go Pro Hero 11 as a replacement. I followed all the steps on the live chat with them including providing my address. Then the agent says it will be £120 because I'm in the UK and never said it was free...They are time wasters and I won't be buying from them again

You pay for the product, but that is not enough. Then you basically have to pay for an annual subscription to make the best of it.

I really want to know why we can't give zero stars. Anyway, purchased and received a gopro hero12 black. Now, bear in mind that I am not tech savvy in any way, and am used to purchasing electronics that come with a user manual, or at least something I can download. You know, simple, basic set-up instructions, something that is easy to understand for ANYONE. gopro is of the belief that everyone, including novices, knows all of the jargon related to all things tech. GoPro also fears human interactions - why else would they not have humans I can speak to and ask questions? They are so afraid of human interaction, that when you call the customer service number, you get a recording saying to go the the help and support section on the website. Here is the funny thing, you go to that section, and there is a blurp about how, if it is outside of regular business hours, that you can leave your contact information, and they will call you. Problem is, there is no actual place to input the contact information - it is a ruse.
I am no longer interested in using companies that refuse to interact with humans. I am no longer interested in using companies that think everyone knows all things tech. All this says to me is that they couldn't care less about my satisfaction, because they made a sale. Well, I am going to go out of my way to share my gopro experience so others can avoid the headache.
Bloody awful- run for the hills
Bloody awful. They stick you on an annual subscription.
Last year I set a reminder to login and cancel just before it renewed. But get this they close the cancellation just before it’s due to renew and do not allow you to cancel.
I tried customer service and got a flat no refunds.
So this year I had another reminder but when I went to login password wouldn’t work. Password reset wouldn’t send me a new password so I called customer services.
I said I do not want subscription to renew- and please send confirmation of cancellation to my new email address.
And today they have stolen another £50 from me. So far £100 stolen.
It’s current account not credit card so I don’t get to claim back. I will try and dispute but what eveidence do I have.

No customer service to speak of, will also be making the switch to another brand when my current subscription ends. Problems with billing/upgrading the subscription (tried to tell me it must be confusing - it's not, you advertise something, you should stick to it). Problems with delivery of orders for accessories (then blames the courier - yes, I know the courier is a separate company, but GoPro choose UPS, it's not the customers choice). Nice kit, good software, just a pity they have zero customer service who try to fob you off.
Terrible customer service, subscription joke!
awful customer service. I had a subscription that was taken out my account which is fine. However I tried to reach out as I no longer have access to the account or the email assigned to it and no longer want the subscription. It's impossible to speak to someone to cancel and have account details changed. I filed or a chargeback because it was impossible to get money back for a charge I cannot obtain or need, they refused it.
Not only do they make it impossible to reach but a call back and email or something would have been the right thing to do. So im -£49.99 on top of not being able to cancel the subscription. ive had to ask my bank to block this seller for future payments.

After years of loyalty for GoPro , today with agent Vehn I lost every bit of love left for this brand due to the most useless customer service ever. I lost 3 hours of my time behind the live chat talking to a person who stated certain information just to change them after by trying to overcharge me with extra unmentioned service. All proved on a transcript. I'm very disappointed about GoPro and they way my case was handled. The agent even attempt to scam me. Unbelievable. If I was un doubt before now I got none, let's switch to DJI.
Rip off
Software to view footage on PC is useless and does nolt work. Keeps expecting users to buy software despite have a subscription. Total rip off

Wow gopro have fallen from grace. The only means of contacting customer service is now through a call back service. It said 10mins in reality it was more like 6pm later that day (my request was put in 10am) I'm all for waiting too but what the?. Funny though as the call back was when their website business hours listed are not open then. None the less you will be given the run around for any issues and they will wiggle out of any form of compensation. Heaven forbid you purchase a subscription through google play store, like many others you will be given the run around between the two companies not taking accountability and pointing fingers at eachother. Gopro cant find the payment or your subscription dispite proofs/receipts invoice no. and google is saying its been paid to Gopro and its the app creators fault not them. I have seen this google play subscription issue more than once on there forums with no real resolutions either. So who do you believe? After reading gopros reviews geez they sound bogus. Only option given is to buy the subscription directly through the gopro website. (After reading other comments here, i think its there scam to get you to subscribe directly to them and then if you cancel your subscription they appear to keep charging people anyway multiple times) and youll then end up making lengthy calls and different excuses to cancel properly too, its bloody shocking from Gopro and there business practices. So here i am stuck in limbo and oh I can't even just buy a subscription directly, as it says account mismatch you already have a sub lol. Plus im afraid to chuck my cerdit card details on because if i do cancel will they do what others have said or heck will it even register? The lack of comprehension and language barriers when you do get through a customer service rep, I don't even know what to tell you abd they talk to you like 💩. Years ago back in 2016-2018 they had an awesome live chat I made many purchases $$$ i even still use the backpack i have 2 and absolutely loved the brand and its concept. Now. Not so much not to mention the editing tools on Quik editor really suck which have had bugs since forever and are very glitchy and often crashes mid workflow loosing what you have done theres no save as you go progress and editing tools is pretty limited, its sad though because the Quik video editor app has huge potential if they would just fix it and add some key features. Overall I've never been so disillusioned by a company I really loved. The cameras are decent when they work but whats the point if its not backed by good company ethics, an actual customer service department and poor software to facilitate their own cameras? like seriously. If they continue to operate this way, I can see a law suit happening or them going bust or maybe they already are. Looking elsewhere I'm so done !!! Goodluck ya'll and be prepared to get in line with the rest of us
Unable to get through trough customer…
Unable to get through trough customer service. Waiting for order more than a month while their onsite tracking doesn't work. Randomly was able to get trough after almost a week trying. Was provided with a tracking number that showed the package had gotten lost immediately. Was told to sort it out myself with UPS. Great.
Site barely works
Site barely works, have to go through hoops just to start contacting them, they have a queue system in place that they purposefully don't use and instead it says "All our representitives are unavailable" and when you do go through it puts you in an actual queue that takes even longer to go through. I've been waiting for a month for a solution they said they would fix, overall terrible experience and hard to imagine it is not purposefully created this way.
Terrible support when trying to correct an order
By accident, I used an old shipping address via Google Pay (while both Google and GoPro store my current address in their account). I noticed as soon as I got the email confirmation. However, I could not change the order or connect to customer support in the weekend, not even via email or a webform?!? Monday morning at 9:00, their online support "opened" and I contacted GoPro's customer support through a webform, with further options to connect via chat or callback. Selected chat: error. So requested callback, with ~10 min. indicated as wait time. Did not hear back, so contacted again in the afternoon via chat. Indicated wait time was ~3 min, but had to wait for ~30 min. After indicating the problem, I got as feedback that the order could not be changed or cancelled anymore because it was already being processed... In the evening, 10 hours after contacting and indicating the problem, I receive "Great news— your GoPro gear is headed your way!".
@GoPro, please take a look at how Amazon has arranged their customer support. There are many ways how you can improve your customer support experience for your customers!
Great service, Despite the negative comments…
Despite the numerous negative comments i had heard regarding the customer service from GoPro i have been pleasantly surprised by the great service and the friendly staff!
After trying unsuccessfully to activate my daughters almost 2 year old camera, it is now going to be replaced with an upgrade and new battery. My daughter will be thrilled! Thanks GoPro!
P.S. My only negative comment is that the estimated call back times on GoPro contact page are totally unrealistic. It would be helpful if this could be corrected. Thanks!
No PC App.
They think editing 10 hours of footages just to make a vlog that lasts 15 minutes via the mobile app with limited storage on the smartphone makes perfect sence! Sounds Perfect to me!
