Dreadful car - probably the worst I ever hired. The car had no CarPlay, no reversing sensors, no satnav, no engine power, lots of dents, parts missing like reflectors and indicator covers. It had plastic on the windows which made it difficult to see through. Plus to top it all my son had a car the same week from a competitor which was $200 cheaper. And it had all the features we were missing - huge disappointment and their response was - tough we think our car is fine. I don’t think it was even roadworthy

Very friendly people, worked well. Car in very good conditon. Very uncomplicated experience. It's important to get picked up when you leave the airport. The renting station is hard to find

Don’t go with this company.The worst experience ever with the rentacars they don’t tell you anything when you pick up the car, but when you return the car they even charge you 25 euros for washing the car. When you complain they have very rude costumer service😡

5* - Very good car rental service

Before going to Sao Miguel I read a lot of nightmare experiences with different car rental companies. Go rent-a-car is the only one with very good reviews so I booked a car for four days. I paid a little bit extra for added insurance so there was no deposit needed. Half price paid upfront for the reservation and the other half before taking the car. I contacted the company over email and they were very helpful and accomodating, answering all my questions. The
guy who met me in the office at airport parking lot number 6 was very friendly and nice. He told me not to worry about any extra fees like for cleaning or any dents and gave me the car keys. And really, when I returned the car, he just checked to see if the tank was full and that was it. The car was an automatic Skoda Kamiq and fun to drive even on narrow island roads. This is a local car rental company so by using them you both support the locals and get the best possible experience.

We wondered in to their garage in Ponta Delgada. 15 min later we left with a clean and fully working car for a very reasonable price. The staff were very helpful and honest. Therefore they get 5/5 stars.

Pick up and return process was super easy.
No "silly" amount of safety deposit if you get insurance with them (really cheap insurance btw)
Only place we will go to from now on once we back in Azores. Thanks to staff of Go Rent a Car, we had great holiday.

Just completed a 2 week rental. All very satisfactory. Car was clean and smart and larger than expected. Staff very helpful indeed- changed pickup location to our hotel- drove with us to show way out of city- sent google map reference to exact drop off at Airport. No charge for excess, or return to different location plus 10% discount for cash.
