A great experience using this firm
I engaged Gorvins to do my conveyancing recently and was very impressed with the slick, professional service that they provided. The process was extremely well-manged and efficient; I had read mixed reviews of the app through which much of the business was conducted, but I found that it made things smoother and easier rather than the reverse. If I needed to speak to the team they were always on hand to help, and here I must mention Cathy, Abigail and Osa who were all courteous, professional and helpful, each of them a pleasure to deal with. It's largely due to their efforts that the process went as easily as it did, so very many thanks to all of you! I recommend this firm without reservation.

I had a great experience with Gorvins Residential LLP, and in particular my case manager Arooj Asghar.
Arooj was professional, responsive, and kept me updated throughout the entire process. Even when things became complicated due to delays from other parties, she stayed on top of everything and made sure my case remained a priority. Communication was clear and consistent, and she always took the time to explain things in a straightforward way.
Overall, the process felt smooth and well-managed thanks to her support. I would definitely recommend Gorvins, especially if you’re assigned Arooj.

I was hoping to complete my house sale today my buyer is using your convancy portal the paperwork should of been done Thursday before easter but my solicitor and my esate agent could not get hold of any body and my buyer was having abuse conversations with you you are still holding up my sale of my property this needs to be sorted this afternoon so i can order a van.you are still not on the ball its looking like a 3rd date before i can complete you are messing with people's live just seams like you don't care you gave the 1st date and everyone was happy today im still waiting to complete. Think you should of clear you desk before easter as you was reminded time and time again by the esate agents and my solicitor that there was 2 days of a bissness week that was a bank hoilday .this has made my move a nightmare and the cost of my pets in the cattery that had no need to go because of the 1st date the 7th April and know looking at Friday before i may move unbelievable
5 star service from start to finish
I don’t have a bad word to say about Gorvins at all! They have been incredible from start to finish. From starting our application to completion in 2 months. Lots of circumstances helped us complete so quickly but Gorvins was the biggest reason. They worked hard to get paperwork done and communication open all the time. There app was such a peace of mind when trying to figure out what stage we were at. As first time buyers they were so helpful and clear at every step and answered our millions of questions and concerns with clarity and kindness.
I have to give a special mention to Emily Wilson, our case handler, for her brilliance throughout. She was the one who communicated so well, so clearly and without hesitation. There was no long delays or waiting around.
11 out of 10 for service and could recommend them higher !

THE WORST EXPERIENCE
I don’t know how people have had such great experiences with Gorvins, because I had one of the WORST experiences of my life with them—and I am not exaggerating even a little.
I am not someone who writes reviews, and I am not someone who complains lightly. I’m a health professional, so I understand how damaging unfounded complaints can be. I’m also trained to handle complaints in a dignified and respectful way. That’s exactly why I feel justified in saying that the service I received—and the way I was spoken to by several members of staff at Gorvins—was absolutely disgusting.
Communication with Matthew McGuinness, my assigned solicitor, was terrible. He never answered my questions properly or managed my expectations. When I emailed about important dates, he misread them, which nearly caused our completion date to collapse—something I only caught myself. It would take him weeks and months for very simple enquiries and some he couldn't figure out and I had to step in and my estate agent and spelled it out for him. Despite me specifically asking not to be put in a last-minute scramble, he expected me to read and approve the exchange while I was actively treating patients, just ONE DAY before completion. The stress this caused was unbelievable.
Staff over the phone were consistently rude. Beth Schofield (his supervisor) was dismissive and didn’t even respond to my complaint. (I have proof of this and they all try to deny this)
After completion, I realised I had not been paid correctly—they had shortchanged me by around £500. When I investigated, I discovered they had used someone else’s financial data to calculate what I was owed. When I raised this, instead of resolving it, they tried to prove me wrong by sending me a statement… which turned out to be another person’s data. This was a clear breach of confidentiality and GDPR.
It then took FOUR MONTHS for me to receive money that was rightfully mine, after even more chasing. You'd think good service would mean handling this quickly, but nope.
When I raised a formal complaint through their own process, the response I received was dismissive and condescending. They didn’t even want to correct their own mistake by sourcing the correct data—I had to provide it myself. That says everything. Instead of taking accountability and trying to make things right, I didn’t receive a genuine apology.
The way I was spoken to throughout this process was incredibly triggering. It felt like constant gaslighting—despite me providing clear evidence, including third-party proof. The fact that they continued to deny what had happened was unbelievable. It honestly felt like dealing with children in a playground—refusing to accept facts that were right in front of them. This was my experience when dealing with Robert Johnson and Stuart Burn, who were supposedly 'handling' my complaint.
I have never been more appalled in my life.
If you know what's good for you, you would stay away.
Smooth simple remortgage process
This was a very smooth experience from start to finish. My case handler Ria Statham was professional and courteous throughout the remortgage process. All documents were available through the app which speeds everything up. Messaging was prompt. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a seamless process.

Had a really good experience with Gorvins, Amber Ferguson was very helpful and no issue was an inconvenience. The app was really useful and really liked this feature it allowed us to keep on top of all requests and documents. Would recommend their service and will be using again in the future.

As first time buyers we had no idea what to do but Emily guided us through the whole process with excellent communication, always responding promptly to any queries. She was patient and supported us with anything we were unsure of. We needed to complete as soon as possible and Emily did a fantastic job for us. 9 weeks from start to finish and Emily managed to secure the moving date we requested. The app was easy to use to communicate, send documents and keep a track of where we were in the process. So glad we went with Gorvins will definitely recommend.
