Not for disabled drivers needing insurance

we called goskippy today to get a quote to change our vehicle to another. The lady we spoke to pressured us to use our portal to get the quote. we did this and it said we had to call them . we explained it had been professionally adapted for our disability needs, and after taking the info she needed she came back and said there was no quote for us as they are unable to offer us cover. Apparently if you are in need of a vehicle for disability needs then you cant be covered by them even though after using a comparison site they quoted us! We then said we will have to look elsewhere and they said it was £113.01 to cancel ! we asked why they wont cover us and she said it was the underwriters so we asked for their number to call and she gave us it. we called them and they said goskippy should not have given us their number as they dont speak with customers and that goskippy should have spoken with them first. so in a nutshell if you have a disability then dont use goskippy !!! Also it was very hard to hear the lady due to the amount of background noise in their call centre

Hidden fees stay a way from this company pay a bit more and be in peace of mind they were charged £197 cancellations fee after 2 days off my monthly payment£197 for covered a few days then I cancelled my policy and they were charged me same amount for cancellation fee in 1 week I paid £393 for nothing

Save your time... the MoneySuperMarket quoted price is not what you get!

I got a decent Go Skippy quote through MoneySuperMarket and clicked through. There was a system error, but a link to click. Repeat some bits of information. Then quote goes up by around 10%.
I did this THREE times on two different days, just to make sure it was not a genuine system error.
Then I went with another insurer that worked first time.

Amazing

Lovely experience. Easy system work. At least on goskippy, I can call and explain to a staff and get listened to unlike my previous company where you can only chat. Your services are excellent, your team member I interacted on phone with are amazing and so patient, your quote are fair enough. I love goskippy and will recommend

Hidden fees!

Hidden fees!!
Had to cancel my insurance early and they decided to charge me £473 and take off the money they owe me leaving me having to pay £151. Chatted to an agent on the chat and didn’t give me a breakdown of the charges just that I had to pay. I’m now stuck for a year paying for my other car and would cancel it if I knew I wasn’t going to be charged a mortgage to!!

Insulting business.

Having phoned about renewal I asked if they price match.
Was told in no uncertain words they absolutely do Not.
When I found the new insurance I was happy with,I made a courtesy call to advise that I will not be renewing.
I was then asked if they would like to offer me a better price so obviously have gone against there word.
They did in fact better the price,and if offered in the first place I’d still be a customer.
So I find this completely insulting to say one thing then offer something else.
They’ve lost my business and rightly so.

Cancelled my Insurance policy without notice

Cancelled my Insurance policy without notice and sent my details to debt collection agency without my knowledge as the monthly payment was also cancelled. only found out when the debt agency got in touch with me to make payment. Worst insurnance company ever, stay away from GoSkippy.

The star is at a push they deserve…

The star is at a push they deserve nothing, they cancelled my daughters policy after she ins with them we did not want our private details sent and our only on her ins as she is type 1 diabetic incase she is unable to drive we can pick her car up. After she clearly stated to remove family on numerous occasions and sent her details off, we thought this was done until this was cancelled (very selective emails sent) she isn’t a new driver she has been driving 5 years no fronting insurance when we all have car and driving countless years, today she received a letter (debt) regarding this so once again by passing all
The numerous emails sent and the threat of dvla and her car which was ins by someone else due to unhelpfulness
Of this company. I cannot stress how hard it was for my daughter to drive being on a 3 yr restrict for type 1 diabetes and everytime she tried to sort this by corresponding to go skippy or the debt threats sent her blood sugars dropped to 2 so thank you for the hypos, I have actually recorded this on these occasions so you can clearly see what you have done by worrying her so much it should not allowed, we have done everything possible to sort this but nothing so as you clearly incompetent and like to bully and threaten young people I have sent all
Correspondence to the fos and citezens advice to have this dealt it.trust pilot were right you should be avoided at all Costs
