Payed to move my personal belongings…

Payed to move my personal belongings from Belgium to Indonesia/Bali. "You have nothing to worry about, all will be done for you" though I made my concern very clear about the type of items. On delivery it became quickly clear that the manner of packing was not suited at all for this type of transport, a shipping container to the other side of the world. Making the claim, proved with pictures and video's, their promises coulnd't be further from the truth. It took me several weeks to get the claim done due so many items and their quite complicated system. Although I payed for VIP service, no pictures/ video's or accurate detail for the inventory was made by them so I had to do everything myself from the start to put the claim together. No customer should ever be put in such a position after realising what a disaster was unfold. More than 50 items were shattered and damaged, proven by pictures and video's. This includes collector and vintage items, Panasonic TV and Bosch oven. Turned out the electronic devices were marked as not knowing the working condition, marked in a second inventory which you only receive to make the claim, though all were in perfect working condition at that time. The content of almost 30 plastic storage container from the basement was not packed at all. Lost a lot of items due shattered and x-mas/ Halloween sets not complete anymore. Many items not even packed= damaged. Around 20 items lost, simply vanished in thin air! Mostly metal items or items from packed/ unsealed bags but above all also the original pictures of my ancestors and all the milestones of my life since I was a toddler, born in the sixties.
1/5 of the total claim, around € 1000 was offered at the start which only covered only the repair of my oven. Later on after contacting and their full responsibility was acknowledged in writing by the CEO of Belgium, it will never cover the total cost to buy and pay the massive import taxes for most of these items of the same brand and quality due not available in Indonesia, not to mention the emotional value.
To make things even worse, the collector and vintage items are international not even available anymore due their originality since I'm a collector since my teenage years so no possability at all to replace most of the damaged, shattered and lost items.
Regretting big time finding out about these reviews after the damage was done. There's always a possability things can go wrong but this is out of proportion, leaving me completely in shock about this devastating unforgivable result. Certainly after receiving messages from the staff that I'm frustrated and apologies for the few??? items I have lost. Though presenting themselves being active all over the world with thrust worthy partners, to my experience they have no clue about the reality on the country of destination.. Professional negligence and declining the actual full responsibility for their own massive mistakes, starting with the packaging process, seems to be in reality more their profession rather than delivering the promised professional service.

The delivery team in the UK.

The team were amazing , helpful , understanding and very pleasant they had a much longer day than they expected but their attitude and personality was always upbeat. THANK YOU. I am more disappointed with the lack of support from the company to their employees , my delivery took much longer than was expected but they still had to return home ready for the next day . They should have been allowed an overnight rest , they could have then returned early ready for their next busy day .Shame on you Gosselin.

A rough transport from BE to USA

I used Gosselin transport from Belgium to the USA (two large 5 cubic meters crates). The packing team in Belgium did an excellent job and was trustworthy. Delivery to the USA was timely. That was the good part, The team in Belgium came with a small truck that could reach a house in a residential neighborhood. In the USA they informed that that the delivery would be done by an 18 wheeler truck (the largest trucks you can see on the interstate). If the truck could no reach my destination I would have to pay for the content to be transferred to a smaller truck. I ended up renting a storage unit really close to my house for a few weeks.
When the truck arrived in the US, the team did not count or inventory the boxes (each one has a number that is laballed at the origin). They unpacked really quickly and it is your responsibility to check and count. Fragile items that were not perfectly packed were broken (marble slab from antique furniture and antique plates). I did not take their insurance since those pieces are family antiques and cannot be replaced. My advice: double check packing of fragile items and check what they deliver.

I had an excellent experience with…Shana Nobels and Gosselin Belgium

I had an excellent experience with Gosselin Belgium and particularly with Shana Nobels. Shana was especially helpful because I was on tight timeline and she assuaged my anxiety by regular contact and doing all she could to complete my transition to another country in the time constraints I had. The men who deliver my furniture were early (!), quick, neat, careful, professional and nice.
It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend Shana and Gosselin Belgium.

I had an amazing experience with this company. Really nice people, great customer service and always helped me with everything that I needed.
