Update: Gotain sent the wrong parts, did not expedite the shipment, and we now have to pay a technician a THIRD time. We have been waiting months since the original order and weeks since we recieved the shades. A terrible customer service and operational experience overall.

We have our curtains, voile and black out, since many months now and honestly- we regret the purchase. The quality is overall cheap, every morning and evening we are annoyed with how hard it is to open or close the windows- the feeling is cheaper than many years ago with IKEA. We also have high quality curtains in other rooms and the difference is huge. I would therefore rather spend 50-100% more in price overall and have a much more luxurious feel for the fabric and movement of curtains.
The initial customer service though helping you find the right product was very nice and I would’ve never thought the quality to be in that low range.
So if you really want to improve from an IKEA experience you have to go for true curtain fabrics and professional racks.

I ordered from Gotain for the first time after seeing their Instagram ads. Before placing the order, I had 3–4 online consultations and many emails over the course of about three months with Niklas, who was incredibly helpful and patient with our many questions and long decision-making process. We were very thorough with measurements and re-measured the windows and walls multiple times. Up until placing the order, the customer experience was excellent and gave us a lot of confidence.
I was very excited to finally receive the Roman blinds and curtains, but unfortunately the experience after delivery has been disappointing.
1. Curtains: The sheer curtains ended up being shorter than expected. The top attachment to the rail takes approximately a couple cm more than anticipated, which results in the curtains hanging about 3 cm above the floor instead of the intended near-floor length. For made-to-measure, floor-length curtains, this is quite noticeable and disappointing.
2. Roman blinds: We ordered two separate Roman blinds that were clearly specified to be installed next to each other, with the requirement that both the height and the horizontal fold lines align precisely. During our consultations, we were assured that this would not be an issue. However, once installed, the blinds do not align, and the difference is clearly visible.
Unfortunately, Niklas has since left the company, and I have struggled to get a response from customer service regarding these issues, despite reaching out by email. This lack of follow-up has been especially disappointing after such a positive pre-sales experience.
Overall, while the consultation phase was excellent, the final result and after-sales support did not meet my expectations for a premium, made-to-measure service. At this point, I am unsure whether I would recommend Gotain to family and friends.

I ordered curtains from Gotain based on a promotional campaign stating that if you ordered before a certain date, the curtains would arrive one week before Christmas. This was the main reason I placed the order.
The curtains did not arrive on time, and there was no proactive communication from Gotain. We had to contact them ourselves to find out what was going on. Only then were we told that a part was missing and that it was “out of their hands,” meaning they could not deliver as promised. There was no apology and no acknowledgment that running a campaign with guaranteed delivery dates comes with responsibility.
The curtains eventually arrived weeks later, long after Christmas. To make matters worse, we then discovered that the cord systems for the folding curtains were different from curtain to curtain, despite being ordered together from the same company. Apparently, this is mentioned very briefly somewhere on their website if you read through everything — but that does not change the basic expectation that curtains ordered together should look the same. No reasonable customer would expect mismatched systems.
Customer service showed no real interest in helping, problem-solving, or meeting us halfway. The overall attitude felt dismissive and unconcerned.
In summary: misleading campaign promises, poor communication, late delivery, inconsistent products, and unhelpful customer service. I would not recommend Gotain and will not be ordering from them again.

Put the pleating tape was put on upside down so we couldn’t hang the curtains. They wanted us to send them back so we’d have to wait another 3 weeks which we weren’t prepared to do. Eventually gave us 30% refund but had to negotiate this. Didn’t want to take accountability that they’d sent us a faulty product. Plenty of alternatives to use instead.

Ordered a sample and afterwards curtains in ivory. Curtains came in a different colour being white upon which I sent back the curtains. Gotain insisted that colour ivory is right and that a difference in „variation in colour“ is indicated. Why sending a sample then if colour matching is like a Russian roulette and cannot be relied on? Gotain refused to take back curtains and correct colouring based on sample provided. Very poor customer experience. Especially for the high price. I do not recommend.

I am from France and i could not find in Paris the same quality for such a good Price as the Gotains' s curtains for m'y house in burgundy.
After having received samples i had an online appointment with Niklas .
Everything was clear for the measurements ( walls , height if the Ceiling etc ) .
I just received my order which is just what i wanted .
I am so happy .

Ann-Louise helped us to measure properly for our various window types and took the time to explain things and let us think through without rushing us. She showed us how to measure and made sure we measured again after the quote so we had them all precise and had to make some changes.
We ordered fabric samples ahead of time so we knew what colors and types. The quality is super nice.
We have now placed our order and cannot wait to see them hung in our new home soon. Very positive experience!

I have had a bit of an exhausting experience with this company. I had two of the free consultations. The first time the lady was late as she didn't even remember that I had one. The second time the man was late. Both times I was told that the lead times were 2 weeks even though the website said otherwise (3-4 weeks). When I came to order it said lead times were over 4 weeks and noone warns you of this. I also noticed that I didn't have all the items in my order as I did not have proper assistance. I raised this with Emmelie on the chat who was very unhelpful just regurgitating unhelpful lines and not offering any practical solutions. I have not received my curtains yet and still checking whether I can cancel.
