We had a lovely time going through the locks in Sweden in July 2025, but after Juno hit shallows and the propeller broke, we missed out on the last 1/3rd of the trip from Stockholm to Göteborg. We got bussed around instead.

I was fully expecting some refunds, perhaps even just a symbolic gesture (it’s a very wealthy company), but so far they haven’t reached out and I contacted them several times. I paid a lot of money for the trip. Disappointed by that.

It’s seventh time we tried GötaKanal and to my big disappointment service niveau is going down. Swedish people get’s priorities in the locks and sometimes you are left to wait for 3-4 hours without any explanation.
Lock guards are lazy.
Same problems we have experienced every year since 2012 and that we were noticing office of GötaKanal about- but it looks like they don’t give a damn about it since nothing has changed her.
I am not coming back to GötaKanal because of that ignorant attitude and that is frustrating because we love Swedish country and nature.
