Sent me a defective pen, and refuse to honor their policy on returns or refunds. customer service was passive-aggressive and not accommodating. They should have just asked me to donate, with all the money that I would need to spend to process a return

1/3 my pen collection was ordered from them. I have a pretty good experience with their customer services, inlcuding helpful infos, friendly staff - there was the time I was in London and ordered from them, somehow I didn't receive my tax import document (which normally tell you to go pay for the import tax to get the package) - so I actually got an email from them telling me about that and also the instruction on what should I do - which is super nice. And overall they are one of few biggest retailers for pens, and the prices are good actually, and you can even request to changing the nib size if you want the different nib size.

I'm a relatively new fountain pen user - the Goulet Pen Company had a ton of information (videos and documents) that helped me make purchasing decisions. I made a mistake on my 1st order and they were QUICK to provide a return label and shipping instructions. I ordered a new fountain pen (s) and have been VERY HAPPY with the quality of the pens, ink and SERVICE...I highly recommend them to anyone - expert or beginner user!

I ordered goulet pen ''Noodler's Ahab Flex Fountain Pen - Burmese Ruby'' and it was a big delusion. The pen has a very strong unpleasant smell, it could be related to biodegradable material that it is made of, I don't know.But you can smell it very well unfortunately.
The colour is quite different from the one you can see on th web page, it's more orange than red.
The writing tip gets dry in a few hours if not used....

Fantastic shopping experience! High quality products. They know how to do their job, they assist the customer without fail and follow the order very carefully. In a very nice way, the pen came with a handwritten greeting card and a lollipop. Highly recommended!

I don't usually write reviews, but Goulet Pens is terrible about customer returns. I have spent a bunch of money with them recently and wanted to return a Lamy Safari pen that had nib/flow defects (skips and hard starts). I have used fountain pens for 25 years, including other Lamys, so it's not like I'm some newbie. They gave me a bunch of crap about it, made me email them several times and prove that the pen is defective, but even with that ......they called the defects "minor." And they still haven't taken the pen back. I won't ever buy from them again. Nope, definitely not.

If you receive a defective product, then good luck getting them to exchange it. They will make you jump through a large number of hoops before even making the consideration. For this reason alone, I highly recommend purchasing elsewhere--the Goulet Pen Company does NOT stand by their product.

Problems with return

A great source for fountain pens, ink, stationary, notepads. They even have supplies for maintenance and cleaning fountain pens. Their website has instructional videos. All around great service, great prices and fast shipping.

Great collection of pens and pen paraphernalia, the service has that personal touch, and the packaging gives a level of protection that beyond what you could possibly expect. Brilliant company.
