Dont trust this Business to deliver
I thought it would be nice to send a gift hamper to my friend for her 30th Birthday. Unfortunately, even though I paid $16.95 for premium delivery the gift did not arrive on the chosen date. Please note, I could have selected a day earlier for the same service I paid for but chose the next day. They didn't try to deliver until the day after my choice and then said a failed delivery. The hamper is now sat at a Post Office and will be picked up 2 days from when I required the delivery. Shame it was for a 30th birthday. I emailed the business, as I wanted a refund on the premium delivery that did not take place. They said 'no', they have terms and conditions, so even if you pay for a premium delivery, they can't guarantee the delivery, and they will not offer a refund. You only know how good a business is when they provide the service the customer pays for. In this case, I hope my review helps you question can I trust this business? I had many e ails between myself and Gourmet Basket, and they were happier for me to do this review than correct a customer's expectation to deliver on what I paid for. I think that was more than a $16,95 mistake. Please check other businesses that can provide a better service. I think I wish what I had done is check the reviews that people had left about Gourmet Basket as there are many reviews like mine and only a 3.7-star rating in this line of business is pretty bad. I will check next time.
