I tested this tool to evaluate its accuracy, and I was shocked by how flawed it turned out to be. If the text is well-written, coherent, and concise, the tool will flag it as AI-generated. However, if... See more

Finally, a detector that actually works

I use Winston AI mainly to spot work that feels too polished for the level of my students. It’s not about 'catching' them... it’s more about helping them understand when they might be relying too much on tools. The reports are easy to share in those conversations.

Great for students

I have been using Winston AI for 2 months now and have seen a lot of reviews on YouTube that it has become a very resourceful and trust worthy tool for students. I once added a full text from AI and it scared 0 for human score which was genuinely correct. When I started working on my assignment through the help of AI and using my own words I then checked with Winston AI and would specify if it sounds human or AI, plagiarism score and readability score. Although I pay a subscription with them it genuinely does help with any sort of detection whether its AI our sources/references that you need for your written work. Also you can pause, cancel or renew so its very flexible and can still save some money. Overall, I did pass my assignments and was please at the end.

Avoid - Flawed plus poor customer service.

Avoid. This tool has numerous glitches, such as freezing, which they try to appease by giving you credits, however, you cannot use those credits unless you pay for a subscription. Also, their AI detection is hugely flawed as it gives false positives for text that is 100% human-written but it flags as AI written.
