Useless face scan

New face scan feature is useless and annoying. Why the F do I have to scan my face every single time just to order. I never given grab my face and yet they claim to verify but with what reference?!?!?! I can never order now because it refuses to accept my face scan even though I never gave it my face info in the first place for it to verify and confirm so I am stuck not being able to use grab at all anymore. Support is useless as well, “ArE u A nEw UsER?” HELL NO I am a VIP and can’t even use the service anymore. “DiD yOu tRy reInStaLLiNG?” MANY TIMES AND THE FACE SCAN STILL REFUSES TO GO THROUGH. Useless support and useless app 👎

You gotta be kidding !!

Grab Dear Grab transport !
First you guys don’t respond to chats.
Second - after MULTIPLE messages explaining tte situation- u get ur facts wrong.
REPEAT FOR THE Nth time- I DID NOT CANCEL A RIDE wilfully- The driver of the 6 seater vehicle that I booked from changi airport to my home arrived and then refused to take us.
Citing too much luggage.
He created a scene.
I had to politely tell him to disappear and then I proceeded to cancel the ride to avoid escalating the situation with a driver who seemed to be spoiling for a fight by provoking an argument.

I witnessed another couple standing nearby face a similar situation with another driver.
All of this has been explained by messages a gazillion times via helpline chat and in a separate email to you.

DID U EVEN READ MY MESSAGES????

WE WERE WITHIN THE LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE- as corroborated by the SUBSEQUENT GRAB DRIVER WHO DID INDEED PICK US UP FROM THE SAME LOCATION after the first incident.

We had 3 large suitcases and 2 trolley bags plus a few sling bags.
As per your policy - a 6 seater vehicle can carry the above amount of luggage as long as there are 2 or less passengers.
We were JUST 2 passengers.
Maybe Grab should offer 2 passengers with luggage the option to book themselves a TRUCK to ferry them home from the airport.

No admission from your end about how great an inconvenience it is to be at the airport after a long flight and then to have a grab driver behave as rudely as the first driver.
You guys are just pretending to be BLIND or plain disinterested in customer satisfaction.

I don’t blame you. Our government is busy patting you guys on the back which further makes you people think that the sun shines out of your behinds.

Did u really think that the $4 “GOODWILL” credit is what drives me ???
Is it about the money- or the DAMNED PRINCIPLE of harassment???
First from your driver,
Second from your so-called customer service chat helplines which are NON EXISTENT - hours and hours on chat with NO service- just your faceless, voiceless people playing corporate ping-pong with dissatisfied customers - passing the buck - bouncing us around- long chat queues which NEVER seem to end.
And thirdly from your this response which is COMPLETELY ignorant about what really happened.

You think a damned supercilious apology and self righteous message about how you are ENTITLED to levy a cancellation charge and making it sound as though you did me a favour by refunding me $4 is going to get you my business in future???
What a JOKE!

Know this- I will do EVERYTHING in my power to lambast and expose your practices in whichever forum I can.
This is not the end of this matter as you so happily seemed to have unilaterally closed this issue by tossing $4 in my face!!!

Vengeful and angry as this post might sound- a shot in the arm and efficient competition might be the much needed whiff of coffee to serve as a wake up call!!!

Unhappy as hell!

I would rate this a 0 if I could

I would rate this a 0 if I could, first I loaded money onto the app before I left for the Philippines, then my first driver was an a$$hole saying I had to find him when the app is designed to show the driver where you are, then he cancelled my drive. Then everywhere else in the Philippines I went, didn’t offer ride services using the Grab app, so I have a balance on my account and can’t get my money back?!?!

Use ZIG Gojek or Tada

Use ZIG Gojek or Tada. App doesn’t not accurately plot position. 5 Star Grab driver drove straight past us to the wrong pickup point. All 3 of the other Apps were cheaper.

Lack of customer support is appalling

Lack of customer support is appalling. I was charged in full for two scheduled rides to the airport that never happened.

1) I cancelled the first booking three days in advance to change the timing of my booking. I should not have been penalised for this.

2) After changing the timing of the booking, the driver failed to show up. And I still got charged.

Couldn’t get in touch with anyone and the help centre was useless. Still waiting on a resolution.

Very Poor Performance and Customer Service

I live in Bangkok, Thailand and travel all over SE Asia. I've been using Grab for four years.
Grab's performance has deteriorated significantly over the past two years. Around 75% of ride attempts either fail to find a driver, or are seriously delayed because the driver is finishing another booking. Bolt is a cheaper and much more reliable ride service.
The food orders are super slow to begin with, and you have to wait until the original delivery estimate time (when the order starts to show "delayed") before you can cancel it (and if the order doesn't immediately move to the "In the kitchen" stage, it will be delayed and eventually cancelled 90% of the time). Maybe 10% of the delayed orders are due to the driver being delayed, which IMO is totally unacceptable. FoodPanda is a much better food delivery service in Thailand.
All in all, Grab is a very inferior product with non-existent customer support and miserable performance. You can use Grab as a last resort while travelling, but don't link any financial accounts to it. Always pay on delivery only.

Disappointing experience with slow support

I ordered food through Grab while I was sick, and the order arrived wrong. I reached out for support, and it took almost a week for them to respond. When they finally got back to me, they offered me 30% off in Grab points as compensation. However, I never ended up using the points. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.

I have been screwed over by Grab taxi…

I have been screwed over by Grab taxi twice in Thailand. Beware if you use them! Each time the driver said I had to pay them, two days later the money has also come out of my bank account. Grab have not been helpful and will not supply an email address to make a claim for a refund.

Lack of service when in need during issue

Grab is very good in collecting sales. But when there is issue, they will take forever to resolve. I accidentally left my car keys inside the grab hitch, and they never reply for so long, not even any update.
There is no call centre, and i dont even know if there is enough manpower to attend to customers’ issues. They have so much earnings from commission of drivers and riders, and not even spend money to create call center and live chat… their service so so so bad… super disappointed.

Grab service in Singapore

Suxs big time, wasn't like this previously..Grab needs to fix the deficiency in their service. While it may be costly to have many dedicates FTEs, you need to strike a balance. Ultimately it's your service delivery that will be inpacted

It's so expensive the ride from Tampines to Elias was charged at $37.50.
I actually opt for meter ride between $20+ but not knowing why after I click search it immediately confirmed the ride at$37.50.
Honestly, I never encountered such expensive booking and it's already charged to my card, I am afraid that it's not easy to get refund if I cancel.
Sigh....

Bad experience with Grab in Singapore

I was in Singapore last week and booked for Grab. When the driver was seen approaching pick up point he message me to prepare for exact change. I told him I am an overseas visitor I didn’t have exact change but I could pay with credit card. He said No. Then he said I have to cancel the trip. I told him I would not pay for the cancellation fee as this was not my problem. When I opened the Grab app later of the day there was a charge of $4 for cancellation. I contacted Grab and explained what happened and refused to pay for the fee. Grab eventually write off the fee.
I am very surprised this incident happened in Singapore. I believe many visitors are using Grab how do you expect we have exact change??
For the next few days I just turned to using taxi it’s not worth wasting my time with this nonsense.

Unfair Banning of Account

Banned my account because I accidentally cancelled my rides one too many times. Now whenever Grab refunds to my e-wallet in my alternate Grab account, I can't transfer it to my bank because it requires verification using my Singpass that I can't perform because my Singpass is used by my banned account.

Furthermore, the food delivery side of the service is also terrible as their customer service is non-existent and relies on AI-generated responses or just generic customer service agent responses that doesn't really resolve your issues of wrong orders or deliveries. They just give you some dumb $3 coupon so that you can spend more money using their terrible service.

Non-existent customer support in Vietnam

My experience is based on Grab Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City).

As a faithful disciple of the “Don't bite the hand that feeds you” principle, Grab will help successful restaurants to delete their bad reviews. Not very fair to customers who pay a high service fee to order food on this app. And not very fair to other restaurant owners who try to do things well and also pay 25% of their income to Grab.

Now a fun fact: When you tap on the in-app “Call Grab” button, you get a pop-up message saying it is only available from 10PM to 7AM. So they encourage you to use the in-app “Chat with us” function which… does not exist.

Then, when you try again the “Call Grab” button between 10PM and 7AM, it works! But you only get an automatic voice message saying their service is available from… 7AM to 10PM.

Smart way to never get any complaints from these annoying customers. Bravo.

I could go on and on about all the nasty features that are specifically designed to milk both consumers and merchants, but my comment would be too long. How did we end up with such a disappointing experience?

Terrible behavior of grab

There is no way you’ll get anyone from customer service to help you if you have an issue with grab. All they do is to send you generic reply's that sound good but have no meaning to you.
Avoid this company and use other similar services if possible.
