Be very careful
I wouldn't consider shopping here again. I bought 3 pre owned games for the xbox360. One was flatout ultimate carnage. I found it wasn't suitable for what i wanted after reading reviews and finding it didn't have a split screen mode. My bad so I took it in (unplayed and not habing even opened the box) to trade for something else and take the minimal loss in my stride. The guy serving me checked the disk and said they wouldn't take it as it was scratched. When I explained all the above, the response I got was that it's my problem for not checking it when I bought it.
The game was only a couple of pounds second hand so is no major big deal on this occasion. BUT I won't shop here for anything other than pocket money price items and will continue to warn people about their ideas of responsibility and customer service. Bought a Nintendo switch from Tesco due to them having a returns policy that doesn't automatically put you at a disadvantage.
Also, if you happen to trade in something here due to every other trade in place in the world closing, ask for gift vouchers as this gives you 6 months to use your credit as opposed to the flimsy receipt style credit note which is only good for 28 days and not exactly robust.
No response whatsoever
Update: Since I updated it, I'd still not heard anything so rang them (3 attempts to answer the phone) and the guy John was a real asset to the company because not only did he contact the store that had the other copy of the game but organised the instructions to be sent and arrived next day! I'd have given 5 stars of I hadn't had to contact them numerous times and ways!
I ordered a game and it arrived the next day but there wasn't instructions with it and as there was no mention of it on the website, I sent 2 x messages via their website, to no avail.
Wondering if the website didn't send the message, I sent a separate email and this also hasn't been replied to.
It was the first purchase with them and I fear it will more than likely be the last.
Further to their response by my review, the order number is Grainger Games Web Order No 1907966799. I await in anticipation

Repeatedly ignored via email and their online form!
Tried to cancel a pre-order WEEKS before it was due to be released, repeatedly ignored via email and their online form.

Robbed on a phone
Sold me a broken phone in non working condition said when I was buying it if any issues return within 2 weeks etc then when I did they just blanked me and said oh well your going have to trade it in if you want any money back on it so losing 100 quid in one week, scammers, also some the stores employ staff that don't wash and drink of body odour not even joking

Extremely Poor Service
I ordered from them on a Thursday and they had stated they would post before 3pm the same working day, the second day came no posting. I just wanted to play call of duty on the little holiday the snow gave us. Unfortunately they don't ship on Saturday meaning I'll likely get the game on Wednesday a whole week after purchasing. STAY AWAY!!!

I took a photo of a new one in shop and my grandsons box looks the same, obviously he opened the top - the problem is that he was not warned to not open it and bring it back within 3 days if he wanted an exchange when he bought it, so I think the criteria for returning this item doesn't stand up as the customer did not have the full information.
Grainger games please give contact details so I can respond to you answer regarding good will gesture

massive difference between online and in store price
so i purchased some switch games in your pontefract store only to find that i have been massively overcharged compared to your online prices and i am disgusted at this. I paid £54 for mario kart 8 unsealed box yet online its new £40.99 online. Mario odyssey i paid £45 pre owned and its £35.99 online.

Impressive Customer Service..
Been dealing with the customer service team at GG whilst I had an issue with a sales order. They were first class throughout and went above and beyond to get to the root of the issue and rectify it. Special thanks to Jon who was the contact. Keep up the good work my friend.

No response from customer service and certainly not “next day” delivery
My order was cancelled with no info as to why.
I even got an email stating that the items had been dispatched via “next day delivery”.
I contacted their customer support twice about where the parcel was after over a week.
Still no reply from those messages, simply a notification 2 weeks after the order date stating PayPal had refunded the money.
Avoid.

Used Grainger Games a couple of times …
Used Grainger Games a couple of times and never had an issue (wont say which branch i chose but it concerned a trade in for a Samsung S8) the staff refused to accept it because the tests said the GPS was faulty, so they wouldn't accept), I went to 2 independent game retailers to get a second opinion and - like i knew - they confirmed there were no issues with the phone - so Grainger Games?, what application did you use and delete when i picked up the phone for you to tell me the GPS was faulty when it was fine.....question is, how many people are you doing the same thing to?????

No Customer Service.
I made an order with next day delivery on the 8th of January, it was dispatched on the 9th but it is now the 18th and i havnt received anything. I have tried to use their customer service e-mail system mutiple times over the past 8 days asking about my order and have not received any e-mails or anything, even tbough it promises "48 hour replies". £35.99 down the drain... im fuming, i want a refund as its clearly not coming but i cant get one as they ignore my emails. My only other option is to write a letter to them but i doubt theyll reply to me then.

DURHAM -Grainger Games - AVOID
DURHAM -Grainger Games - your staff (2 men - one with a grey beard and other with dark curly hair tied back) has diabolical manners. Just been in to purchase 3DS and two Mario games:
I placed my gloves on top of my purse on the customer counter, and grey beard was repeatedly shoving them and saying "can you move these" as he was piling a load of mugs across the counter and then repeatedly coming round the other side of the counter, shoving in front of me to retrieve them again. This happened throughout the entirety of the transaction, until I'd had enough of being shoved and my gloves and purse being handled. I asked him to either wait or go through the side counter door. At which point, the younger man just said "yea, well we have to keep this counter clear!". I then get a load of sarcasm from the other as to how he can't carry the mugs through the counter hatch. Just a bad-mannered, smelly, unfriendly experience throughout.
Eager to get out of the store with my bought products (if I hadn't pre-ordered the merchandise, I'd have simply walked out at the earliest opportunity!), i glanced at my receipt, and found he had over-charged me by £5 on a consoled that was clearly marked with the actual price. He scanned it again and mumbled something and without a word of apology, said he'd refund it back on to my card, (in a manner as though he was doing me a big favour!).
Suffer another 7 minutes of body odour. However, above all, it was both of their attitudes and approach to customer service that's intolerable.
Never again. Never.

Why get rid of the stock checker
I'm trying to buy a new console but they've removed the stock checker on the website and I can't get in touch with the store, it just keeps ringing. The last time a GG shop actually picked up the phone when I've tried calling was about 3 months ago.

Bought Nier Automata 2 weeks ago for …
Bought Nier Automata 2 weeks ago for £34.99 new condition (in stock) on their website. Took my money, nothing arrived. 2 weeks on, no respond in the latter of last week, busy tone on phone to store in Newcastle all day. Wouldn't respond to contact form, emails, facebook messenger either.
They sent the refund minutes ago with no correspondence whatsoever, would not use ever again.

Bought a brand new ps4 game
Bought a brand new ps4 game - Sims 4, and the click bit for the disc to hold it in place is broke, I contacted the store as it has now scratched the disc to be told they won't do anything. They openly admitted that my product is faulty and they knew it but they couldn't be bothered to sort it. Appalling service Oldham depot. Learn some manners.

Order disappeared after website changed
So I ordered a game on Sunday, got my confirmation. Went to browse through the website and saw that on Monday they had a new website. I logged in to find it had no record of my order. I filled in the online form that day and I’m still waiting a response as I have no idea if I will ever receive my order.
Now I go online and find the thing I have ordered is not out of stock.
After reading other posts on here I now gather this is a common issue.
I emailed the form again yesterday after speaking to somebody in store as I’m quite concerned that I’ve been charged for an order that doesn’t exist anymore.
UPDATE: I have now received a email saying it has been dispatched today. I wasn’t worried about the time for dispatch it was more that my order completely disappeared. Thanks for your response.
