These kits are fun, easy & rewarding, and I recommend them to anyone regardless of their experience!
Not long after I became a university student, I decided to teach myself how to cook. Shortly after that food & cooking became one of my passions, and as a result I decided to start growing my own herbs & veggies.
But this year I wanted to kick it up a notch & try something new, something a bit different, and that’s when I discovered that you could grow your own mushrooms at home. However, initially after ordering a couple of grow kits from Gramco Fungi, I was a bit nervous as I had never grown mushrooms before & I had no idea how to grow them, but thankfully with Gramco’s grow kits it could not be easier!
The steps on the box are laid out clearly & simply. All the hard work is done for you, so all you need is the grow kit & a small mist spray bottle, you will have to buy the spray bottle separately as it doesn’t come with the kit, but to me that’s not a deal breaker because once you have one spray bottle, then you’re set up to grow mushroom well into the future!
Overall these kits are fun, easy & rewarding, and I recommend them to anyone regardless of their experience!

Disappointing outcome of my purchase
I bought 4 boxes , 2 for myself and 2 as gifts.
Only one had success with 2 harvests after much work popping back into the fridge to try to restart it. My friends had no luck. Whether it was an unusual batch I don’t know or whether our skill sets were wanting I don’t know either. We were all so excited to grow our own mushrooms and we were disappointed with our outcomes.

HI Jennifer, I'm sorry you and your friends were disappointed by the growth of the mushrooms. Please note that the mushrooms take longer to fruit as you continue the cycles and if conditions are not optimal the 3rd~5th flush may take up to a month. They require a bit of patience if you want to let it continue. We will post more tips and details on growth cycles on our website for better guidance.
