This is great for cooking and making body lotion. Barely any scent. When you add an essential oil there is no beefy scent! Wonderful find!

Absolutely a terrible product for tallow skincare. I’ve done plenty of rendering/purifying of tallow and this tallow smelled horrible. It’s also very soft which indicates it’s not only suet from the kidneys. Dishonest marketing to up-charge for “purified” tallow.

I ordered this to make soap and so that I would not have to filter suet myself. I was disappointed with this because it came yellow with a strong smell. Yes, I am aware it is beef and I don't mind the smell of it but when filtered even just once it'll turn white and the smell gets less and less. In my opinion this wasn't wet rendered at all. It ended up being a waste of money for me because I have to filter 3x myself before it was usable.

Love that I have found US Wellness Meats. I am loving the 1 gallon pail of beef tallow. I've already made a bunch of whipped tallow, it's very easy. It's so nice to know that the tallow is coming from a reputable company. Quit buying expensive whipped tallow and make it yourself! It's also good to cook with. This was a reply from the company when I emailed them before I made the purchase about how to store this product. "This tallow comes from our grass-fed and finished cows that are rotationally farmed. This is the cleanest tallow you will find since our animals are NOT exposed to insecticides, pesticides, herbicides, GMO's, mRNA shots, growth hormones or antibiotics. We have hundreds of customers who use our tallow to make their own lotions and skin care products and even more customers who use it to cook with and consume it in various ways. Because our tallow is not bleached or is processed with added preservatives, we recommend keeping it frozen for long-term storage. The tallow can be kept in the refrigerator if it is used more frequently. We do have customers who leave it on the shelf, tightly sealed and in a cool space to use as needed. I am happy to assist if you have other questions or concerns."

Am using this tallow for skin care….excellent. The container was extremely difficult to open and have resealed it w plastic wrap then the top gently placed on that….. Many thanks for a high quality product…..

I am truly loving this Tallow. I can tell it's good quality, which is what I've been looking for, as it's been really hard to find. So, I hope they never change it. I've been putting it directly on my face, including my eyelashes, and it's by far producing the best results of anything I've ever tried. I put it on at night, and by the time morning comes it has all absorbed into my skin, and my face is amazingly soft and hydrated. My eyelashes are longer and fuller, and I also love what it's doing for my dry hands. I purchased the gallon size so I can make shampoo bars and soap bars with it, which went really well, and although still curing, they look amazing. I can't wait to try them. As long as they don't adulterate it, deodorize it, or hike up the price, this is something I will keep buying indefinitely due to it's raw quality.
