Our Wild-caught King Salmon comes from sustainable fisheries in the Salish Sea off Lummi Island in the Northwest Pacific. These are WILD King Salmon, NOT farmed. King Salmon is also known as Chinook, Tyee, or Blackmouth Salmon. They are prized for their high oil content, firm texture and rich flavor. Enjoy the rich, buttery flavor of fresh, wild-caught King Salmon and the healthy benefits of Omega-3's. Lummi Island seafood is sustainably sourced using both reefnet fishing and hook and line methods. Reefnet fishing is a passive fishing method. The main advantage is in its lack of by-catch mortality. Unwanted species are simply released from the live well back into their natural environment. They use no fossil fuels, only solar charged batteries to run their equipment, allowing for the smallest carbon footprint of any salmon fishery. Their fisherman work with local tribes to produce the best salmon available. Fish are frozen just minutes after being caught, preserving the fish's flavor and texture. It was literally the BEST Salmon I ever tasted. I didn't taste any Metal or Illuminum, just pure, delicious dalmo. I'll be ordering more very soon. I don’t love fish but salmon is the most palatable to me. I’m determined to eat at least 2 servings/ month and your salmon could not be any easier to help me keep that promise to myself. The process of broiling it is ridiculously simple and it’s just the right amount for me since I’m the only person in the family eating it.
