Grease Connections is a circular-economy startup built on a beautifully simple idea: yesterday’s frying oil can power tomorrow’s city. We partner with restaurants, food-trucks, campuses, and eco-minded households to keep every golden drop of used cooking oil out of sewers and landfills and route it into high-grade biodiesel production. Why we exist Water to protect. Just one gallon of oil can foul a million gallons of fresh water—the yearly supply for fifty people. That’s the scale of damage we erase every time we pick up a drum. US EPA Carbon to cut. Biodiesel refined from waste grease slashes life-cycle greenhouse-gas emissions by up to 86 percent compared with petroleum diesel. PMC How we work Smart collection: Branded, leak-proof bins and on-demand pickups tracked in a customer dashboard—no more overflowing grease traps or messy back-alley barrels. Transparent traceability: Every pickup generates a digital chain-of-custody certificate so clients can prove their sustainability claims with a tap. Local refining partnerships: We funnel feedstock to regional biodiesel plants, keeping economic value in the communities we serve. Education & outreach: From chef trainings to school STEM demos, we turn grease talk into climate-action storytelling. The impact we’re chasing By 2030 we aim to divert 50 million gallons of used oil, prevent 50 billion gallons of water contamination, and cut the CO₂ equivalent of taking 150,000 cars off the road—while paying kitchens fair market value for a product they used to pour down the drain.

So I was looking for a used cooking oil…

So I was looking for a used cooking oil recycling company that could come pick up the oil and dispose of it safely and they were really the only company that could, in addition they pay me based on market prices for the used cooking oil; they came and delivered a free container the switch was easy and no long term commitments which is important for my restaurant in Miami
