Scam discount emails

One member of the table had received an email detailing ‘50% off of your food bill’ but upon asking for the bill and showing staff the discount were told management had decided this 50% off was only for one persons meal. This was not mentioned in the exclusions, the only exclusion was the offer didn’t apply on Sundays.
The email specifically stated off of your “food bill” implying the entirety. Poor treatment of returning customers given this was a ‘loyalty’ discount.

The Plough at Leverstock Green gave…

The Plough at Leverstock Green gave our ladies lunch group a fantastic time. Most of the ladies had a carvery the others fish and chips. Everyone agreed the food was extremely good and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Victor and the rest of the staff.

Great if you like an early night!

Great food and service. Menu and food generally very good . Have now , on 3 occasions been almost forced out at 10pm ,even though to they are supposed to be open until 10.30. Staff leaving early, putting coats and turning off lights and telling us they are closing . Poor customer service.

Rudest manager I’ve ever come across

Arrived at the plough, 20 minutes before our booked table, after Driving over 100 miles to see family and have a meal. Only to be told by the rudest manager Vasil that he had given our table away. Apparently booking a table isn’t a guarantee.!
The so called “manager” Vasil, was the rudest I’ve come across in the hospitality industry. He didn’t even try and say it was a mistake why our table was given away, and I saw him smirking and making light of it to a colleague. We did get a table but only as we insisted, if I didn’t have family with me I would of gone elsewhere. The only reason I give this place a 1 is the waiter Josh, who was kind attentive and made our stay pleasant in the end. The food is mediocre to say the least. We spent nearly £200 and next time I will be going somewhere else. You can’t even complain as the ceo Henry Tudor has made sure he is uncontactable. However I will find a way of letting this business know how unprofessional their managers are.!

Exceptionally good throughout.

Carvery food exceptionally good. Beef and Gammon sliced expertly thinly (very difficult to achieve) so the flavour flooded through the texture of the meats. The back-up vegetables too were well prepared and presented. Staff were cheerful & helpful. Our Romanian was sparklingly humorous. He added to the best of restaurant meals in years, and we are old!!
The whole ambiance was busy, interesting and enjoyable.

The Plough Leverstock Green, Hemel Hempstead.

Went with a group of family 16 on boxing day. To The Plough, Leverstock Green, Hemel Hempstead.

Total disaster really, Covid had depleted staff levels and staff on hand tried to make the best of a bad job. Waited nearly an hour for drinks order to arrive. No complaints it happens at this harsh time. My Food a beef bourguignon arrived at best tepid and about a child size portion, l can get on with things, never moaned and ate it. We paid the bill and gave a gratuity for staff for all their attention. The bit that l am absolutely disgusted with is l reported via email to the restaurant my disappointment regarding only my main meal, not as a complaint but to bring this to thier attention advising that l would not have sent this from the kitchen or put it on a table as a meal. Now the bit that is more disappointingly poor is to date l have recieved no acknowledgement of my email, no response to my email and certainly No Apologies. I can only assume bad reviews and complaints do not bother this company at either head office or at this particular outlet.

The Plough Leverstock Green
I live quite close by, and eat here about once a month, very much enjoy the food, staff are always great, quality is good, prices reasonable, I can say that everyone I ask seems to concur, I'm not sure what people are looking for when they review places sometimes, I have eaten in restaurants twice as expensive and enjoyed the food half as much.

The Plough Hemel Hempstead
A party of 12 from a local authority booked way in advance also called the day before to advise most would be having a carvery.
On arrival paid for our drinks in groups got to our table advised waitress of our orders. The people that ordered the carvery then went up to get food 1 being vegetarian again waitress was advised of this.
There was no yorkshire puddings at all we all picked our carvery only to find there was no vegetarian gravy but the time the gravy arrived the dinner was cold!
The chef carving the meat, the meat was wafer thin!
The waitress then came to ask "if everything was OK" to which I told her about the yorkshire puddings to which she replied "OH" & came back with ONE by that time we were in the process of finishing our meal!

The paying of the bill was another story as you can appreciate we would be paying individually to then get accused of not paying for a meal as some had paid at the bar by cash & some paid by card.
This then ended in various colleagues being kept waiting for half an hour as they only had one card machine to be told "oh the signal is bad up ere" to finally sort out this shambles of a meal appalling would not recommend
