We thought that the Sardinia trip was very good, just the right amount of time in each place and were very pleased that we had some time on our own too, especially the one day at the coast. The local guides were all excellent and very knowledgeable, the various visits all very interesting and the included food and wine delicious. Hotels also very good. One last thing, Dawn Butler our guide from beginning to end was excellent, friendly and efficient at all times.
This is a new tour; we were only the second group to visit Sardinia. The tour itinerary was varied, with a good mix of excursions and free time. There was quite a bit of road travel between the locations, but this was evident from the holiday schedule. Sardinia is a very beautiful place with a warm receiption waiting for tourists. Our hotels were generally good and the food was excellent. Our Tour Manager, Dawn was friendly and caring. Evenyone on the tour 'gelled' and we all had a great holiday. Highlight was the second train journey, which was amazing and very memorable. Highly recommended.
Excellent tour manager Well paced with visits and free time appropriately timetabled Excellent hotels - but the hotel in Baja Sardinia had no Wi-Fi on the bedrooms which was very inconvenient
We had a friendly group of people led by our excellent tour manager Dawn. There was a good itinerary in ideal locations. Very enjoyable!
Overall experience was good and gave us a good flavour of Sardinia, we saw many aspects of Sardinia particularly its history. Not as much train travel as on some Great Rail holidays but that was due to Sardinia’s infrastructure. Our group size was excellent as was our tour Manager, would recommend.
A good mix of Historic and Beach holiday. Superb tour manager. Great "antique" train. And amazing neurragi towers!
This was one of the very best holidays we have taken with GRJ. A very comprehensive coverage of the island from south to north. We only wish we could have spent longer in each place. And travel by rail not air. The tour manager Christine was excellent in every way.
Excellent tour manager very good hotels. Good itinerary. But could be improved with a bit more variety.
