Had a lovely time Suzie looked after us superbly . The only snag was the fires on the moors that meant that the steam train from Whitby to Pickering was replaced by a diesel (came for the steam experience)

We had a lovely few days exploring Yorkshire on both train and coach our rep Suzzane was very helpful
well organised. very good tour manager, super coach very good driver a well of information But just one thing he called it "banter" and I come from the South, he is a Yorkshire man making remarks about Lancashire people OK for the first time but every time was a bit wearing.

Hotel was very central and food good. Two full days of well organised trips by coach. Harrogate is a beautiful town with a wide range of shops, restaurants and cafes.

My family and I had the most fantastic holiday. Excursions to various places were most enjoyable. 2 guys was extremely helpful. We’re looking forward to our next holiday in January 2026 to Switzerland, Juungfrau.

We experienced a lot of Yorkshire in a few days. Fantastic tour manager. The hotel was very well located in Harrogate.

Lovely hotel but 10 minute walk from train station. A long coach ride to Whitby.

Our tour guide was outstanding, but I was a little disappointed that our Wednesday was a free day to explore wherever we wanted, I was ppl train to Scarborough, wh couldn’t that have been pre-organised?

Enjoyed company and excursions Chris our leader excellent(trying to find out where he is going next) Hotel good Food breakfast good Evening meals were mostly ok
The tour was well organised, seating etc. Disappointing that we didn’t stop at Oakworth. Hotel was very clean and choice and quality of food was good. Would’ve preferred the coach driver to have a hands free headset, rather than hold microphone towards mouth.

Had a very enjoyable few days with a great group of people.Chris our tour guide was brilliant nothing was too much trouble for him. The train trips were excellent scenery was superb.Hotel was also very good dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious.

Really nice break, very enjoyable trips and accommodation. Chris the tour guide worked very hard to ensure the holiday was a success for everyone and he did a wonderful job. Our first holiday with Great Rail Journeys but already have ordered the 2026 brochure.
