It was a very researched and well run holiday which delivered expections and then some. The leader was exceptional and the hotels all at least 4 stars. The last in Strasbourg was five stars. I fully recommend this holiday.

From meeting up at St Pancras International to our return everything was amazing, in particular, our Tour Manager.
Very good trip
The best part was the three days in Zermatt with clear views of the Matterhorn on one day.
Very good - lived up to high expectations.
Loved the hotels, Bernina and Glacier Express, Eurostar, and Le Gruber Restaurant in Strasbourg. If I had known what I know now about changing trains and long connections, I would have flown into Zurich and joined the tour in St. Moritz. The tour manager was a huge disappointment, almost worthless.
An excellent holiday which exceeded expectations. Ruth the tour guide was superb throughout. Highly recommend this company and this holiday.

Definitely one of the best holidays we have ever been on! Organisation was spot on and the scenery was fantastic. Great Rail even organised perfect weather for the week! Hotels, rail journeys, and organisation came together to make this the perfect experience. Particular praise must be given to Aubrey our wonderful courier who went above and beyond to make sure that everything went to plan. Highly recommended for anyone who loves spectacular scenery (and trains!)
Overall a very enjoyable holiday but there were excessive train changes both on the outbound and inbound journeys.
The scenery, weather and hotels were excellent. I think GRJ needs to consider more efficient ways of transporting luggage between rail stations (Paris particularly) and rail stations and hotel (Zermatt particularly).

First class travel throughout made this quite a comfortable holiday. Obviously lots of rail travel which for the first two days (and final two day) was a bit boring but better than flying as little waiting around. Hotels were all very good and the one in Zermatt was particularly friendly. Nice group of 30 so a good number and tour leader Gilly was very good and well organised. She had been to places often so was able to give us lots of advice. The views in Switzerland were amazing. I only wanted to go for the Bernina and Glacier Express but thoroughly enjoyed the trip and never tired of the scenery.

The section between St Moritz and Zermatt was wonderful... the Bernina Express, the Glacier Express and Gornergrat plus the Glacier Paradise on Klein Matterhorn... all greta experiences...However, getting there took several changes of train with very little interesting scenery...Eurostar doesn't have a dedicated first class lounge at either St Pancras or Paris Nord...and there is inadequate seating ...so we were standing for over half an hour going out and over an hour coming back (train was delayed)...Personally I would have preferred to fly into Zurich or somewhere convenient and just do the rail trip from St Moritz to Zermatt.
