It was a fascinating tour from start to finish. The rock formations, historic villages and towns and cro- magnon caves of Lascaux were all fabulous.

Wonderful trip, excellent planning and tour manager. Will definitely travel again with them.

Great tour manager, Della, and excellent French coach driver. Hotel Le Centenaire in Les Eyzies was first class. Well thought out itinerary, each day was varied and interesting with sufficient free time. The weather was very warm and Della took this into account when reviewing our daily programme. We highly recommend the holiday, it would have been nice to have stayed longer!

More Great Coach Journey than Great Rail Journey. Our TGV south was cancelled because a lightening strike at Montparnasse so we endured 5 hours at the station followed by more than 7 hours on the replacement (luxury) coach, missing our welcome drink and meal. There was lots more coach travel across the Perigord. On some days the tour packed too much in: would have like more time to enjoy the hotel and the village. The hotel was fine and our group of just 20 was good humoured but the food and wine were disappointing. Overall I felt we did not get full value for money, and I was not the only one.

Trip was god but unfortunately a disater at the Train station Montparnasse to collect the TGV to Angoulême but where we were stuck for nearly 6 hrs due to a major train failure and think GTJ could have been much more proactive in their approach to the situation and a replacement coach was sent to the rescue for a 6hr coach journey arriving at the hoterl @1.40am. This was a considerable long day for us all missing our dinner /wine paring an trip the following morning to the gardens which unfortunately for some of us was to early after the previous day. However we manged to catch up with the group @ La Roque-Gageac for lunch and boat ride. The trip to Rocamadeur was not as expected and quite disappointing. As for the Hôtel & Restaurants du Centenaire, Les Eyzies was beaiutiful but with a michelin chef as part owner the breakfast could have been a little bit varied

It was a very good holiday, with an amazing tour guide and coach driver. The hotel and staff was brilliant as was the food, however it should be considered that all walking should be in the mornings and river cruises/train trips in the afternoon as the weather is so warm later on. In addition 1/2 days should be mornings as hanging around waiting is not a good option. Hope it helps
