Very nice experience leaves s very good tour managers along with Chris she was extremely good with the guests too. The only thing that we would have preferred was to have stayed in Basel or Chur rather than Trifincaste which had nothing at all to do as it was rather isolated’

The tour lead was excellent, hotel and location at Tiefcastle good for connection for buses and trains. Hotel was good plenty of food and drinks during dinner. Fellow travellers were a good fun, The only area that I have fed back to the company, was the initial days travel to Mulhouse Was in my opinion over complicated, on the one hand if you like trains and stations etc great, But arrived to late for the Xmas markets and sight seeing, for me would have been better to get the direct train and spend some time at the Xmas market.

I can’t fault GRJ for their organisation or the excellent Les, our tour guide. But it was not a five star holiday. The hotels were fine but not superb. Eurostar was an experience I won’t be repeating. The Swiss trains were comfortable but not luxurious (no blinds on the Glacier Express meant my wife found the bright sunshine uncomfortable). A Christmas holiday sounds great until you realise that you have several hours to kill before the return trip and everything is closed. And it’s very cold!

Efficient, smooth organisation. Wonderful scenery. Good hotels. Days full of activity.
Could not fault the experience. Extremely well organised. Les our tour guide was exceptional working round the clock to ensure our trip was memorable and stress free. Bernina,Glacier and Arosa excursions were outstanding and highly recommended. Hotels were comfortable and staffed by pleasant personnel. Would definitely recommend Great Rail Jouneys.

Absolutely wonderful, the brochure description and photos could not do the experience justice.
We enjoyed a wonderful travel experience! We especially appreciated the hard work and expertise of the tour guide Kate. The only unfortunate occurrence was the illness of one of the group, who had to be hospitalised. Apart from that, excellent hotels very good food and service, and fantastic Swiss scenery. We don’t have any pictures. and we again emphasise Kates excellent organisational skills.
