Excellent service and organisation by the tour supervisor (Francesca) Good family hotel with excellent food and facilities. Interesting tours with informative guides. Could do with reducing the amount of luggage lugging. Generally an enjoyable holiday with great people in the group .

Nice trip but let down by failure of connecting road transport and late trains, also group was too big (36)
Lovely Hotels, decent food, but for me personally too much walking with cases,Railway stations very big, dragging cases through them and unfortunately the weather was more extreme in Europe than been use to,so that didn't help. On my trip two coaches did not arrive so was a long walk back through station s again to stand in a queue for Taxis in blistering heat. My fellow passengers were very good about it was not the Tour Guides fault, but this is a problem that needs looking into, could of caused some distressing moments. Also had a few good ups on the trains, which made this long train journey longer than it was, four days travelling too much for certain ages. All in all the holiday was enjoyed by me and my husband, thanking you, Pam & Derick Wellburn
Lake Garda and Hotel were superb. Travelling by train was an awful experience with three late arriving trains out of four and then a bus that did not come that nearly left us stranded in Paris. Next time I will fly.
Lake Garda itself was wonderful, and the Turin hotel was spectacular. I only give it four stars because of the mishaps with coaches in Turin and Paris. The Paris experience was particularly unfortunate. Perhaps you should review your coach providers. The tour manager was excellent
Lake Garda is great. Our holiday not so much. Delayed trains meant that we missed our connecting coaches and were left to find taxis by ourselves - Twice! The hotel was supposed to be 4 stars but most of us gave it 2. The food was nothing like Italian restaurants and we ended up eating out in the evenings. All inclusive drinks were limited to a short list. There was no Coca Cola or Pepsi of any kind. Beer could only be served in 25cl glasses and consisted of 10 cl beer and 15 cl froth. Breakfast was tinned fruit or cold eggs and bacon. Everything was budget conscious. Would definitely go back to Lake Garda but not with GRJ.
Lovely hotel, great resort, but every train apart from the Eurostar was late! Missed a meal in Turin, was late into Garda on first night!, had to rush in and straight down to dinner and one hour fifteen minutes late into Chambéry on way home. Coach in Paris didn’t turn iup!
Not really all inclusive, Transfer transport nonexistent,
Train journey to and from was my that great. Mostly due to exceptional weather .. Would definitely send luggage on another time. Too many on and off trains with no help ( we were aware of that but underestimated) and nowhere to sit waiting in either French or Italian stations. Beautiful once there. Excursions included so good value . Excellent tour manager Sian. Maybe we re a little too old for this type of holiday? 77 and 80
Enjoyed the experience and in general the train journeys themselves were fine. Good mix of people but felt the group size was probably larger than we prefer. The tour guide, Francesca, did a great job. Always available, helpful, professional and good company. One problem was passport control at Paris due to the biometric checks. This was so bad, dangerously so that it would deter us from booking again
Great tour guide, well designed itinerary. Loads of train issues.
Great holiday
Great place, great hotel with great food, drinks and rooms. Stunning scenery and interesting excursions. All expertly managed by our superb Tour Manager, Francesca whose face appears in the encyclopaedia under the entry for what is a Tour Manager. The heatwave made travel uncomfortable at times but that’s nothing anyone could do anything about. A good tour for anyone who wants to see the area but doesn’t want hills and difficult terrain.
Our Tour Manager, Aubrey Jones was outstanding, his organisational skills, helpfulness and enthusiasm were impeccable. The rail strikes made our outward journey quite arduous, we were seated (along with Aubrey) in a tiny "compartment" which was intended just for security guards. Not possible to see the passing countryside. The return journey was scenic and much better. The hotel was perfectly adequate, staff, food and room servicing excellent. The drinks policy was a little below expectations - a whisky was available but not with a Coke (also available but apparently not together with the whisky, which doesn't make any sense). The highlights were Garda, the lake and villages, Verona and AUBREY JONES!!
First class trip to Garda! Great hotels, excursions, friendly crowd of fellow train travellers and smooth transfers throughout. Our guide, Gillie was wonderful. She was cool, calm and collected and her experience shone through every day. Aways professional, she was also a very friendly, warm and caring person who made our holiday so memorable. Thank you Gillie!
