Lovely hotel , great Tour Manager Ann-Marie , nice group size and interesting, well planned excursion's. Just the right amount of free time too . Would highly recommend.

The visits were excellent, the manager was superb, the day in Athens was too long which allowed no free time for food or drink, but was essential. Need to rethink that day.

A wonderful, well informed and well organised trip to and through the ancient world of Greece, 700 years before the Roman Empire and into the Roman Empire time. The excursions to the sites were superb, with extremely knowlagable guides who were fluent in the english langauge. The Hotel used by GWJ was the best that I have stayed in, on these tours. The food was delicious and nothing was left to chance. Some of the sites were challenging to get to, as the bus cannot get too close but there was plenty of leisure time to take things slower, if required. A truly wonderful insight into the ancient world, in what has now become a modern European country. Full marks to both GWJ, and to Greece.

GRJ organised a regional departure, which was good. Tour manager was excellent, one of the best we've had. The general leisurely pace of tour suited. The places we visited were excellent, but trip to Athens was a very long day. Local guides all very informative. Hotel was very good. Food was typical mass catering.

Interesting tour and for us Ancient Corinth was one of the highlights. Athens was a tiring day and a refreshment break between visiting the Acropolis and the Museum would have been appreciated. Hotel was fine and the staff were particularly helpful. It was a shame that the hotel wasn't a bit nearer to the town of Nafplion, which was delightful. Good Tour Manager.

Holiday went smoothly, nice hotel, good itinerary, reasonable value, excellent tour manager, Monastery was acceptable substitute for advertised rack railway trip.

We are impressed at how well organised this tour was from the moment we arrived at Heathrow Airport to the day we left for the airport at Athens. Anthony, the tour manager was always at hand to assist or answer any questions even on our leisure days. We also enjoyed the company of the other fellow travellers in our group and it was a pleasure to meet them. This holiday was more enjoyable than expected.

This is a new tour and a couple of the daily itineraries need tweaking to avoid long periods without access to food and drink. The hotel was was very comfortable and the tour manager excellent.

Excellent holiday and tour manager. Good hotel. Some excursion journeys were somewhat longer than we would have liked. Nafplio is a lovely place.

Its a memorable trip. The tour manager Antony was so nice and kind. He looked after us very well. As this is a new route for GRJ, we were the first group to try it out. Trip to Mycenae was nice but the rest of the afternoon we were marooned in the village which has limited shops and not very interesting.Need to rethink this programme. Trip to the monastery and wine tasting was far too long, lunch at the winery was about 3pm! The stop at the village was good. Could have lunch there instead of the winery. The highlight of the trip was Athens. Its a very disappointed trip personally. Its a long way to get there. 2 hours drive. Makes it a long day. Its too crowded getting up to the Acropolis. Once we were there, we had no free time to wander around. Then walked back and straight into the Museum with no breaks at all. Everyone was so tired. We had spent 2 1/2 hours walking without a break at the end of the museum talk. No city tour because of the traffic only managed to stop at the stadium for photos. This whole day needed a rethink of the timing to cater for less able clients and making it more interesting for the first timer. The Epidaurus and olive oil tasting trip was the best for timing and allowed us time to walk around the area. Free time at Nafplio were very pleasant especially the trip up to the fort. The hotel was very good but too far away from the sights and places we visited.
