Well organised and enjoyable trip but hotel needs air conditioning
Great holiday . Pam, (holiday manager) was A1. hotel good and on sea front, IOW beautiful and interesting: wished could stay longer to see more. Beach superb; sandy & level. Excursions excellent. Downsides: town: derelict hotels, addicts in shelters on seafront. Hotel: too crowded. Little space between tables, long queues at breakfast & excellent staff rushed off their feet. Only one lift between 3 large groups and staff. Stay: too short - needed more time between excursions for own exploration and beach.
Very well organised but busy holiday. Briefly saw all the key places, at times it felt rushed, limited time to find lunch and a drink. Incredibly lucky with the weather and location of the hotel on the sea front. Hotel was adequate, clean and comfortable bur rather tired looking in parts.
Very enjoyable weekend with a group of old friends. Weather was extremely hot, but we still enjoyed the programme - and the ice creams!
The tour manager and excursions were excellent, I have down rated this because of the hotel and a lack of an air conditioned coach on the longest coach travelling day
The tour gave an excellent overview of the highlights of the Isle of Wight.
Disappointing hotel
Hotel was not suitable for the very hot weather that we had during our holiday.
Travelling alone I was disappointed. Not really suitable for solo travellers. Sandown was run down and the view from my hotel room was of the back of a curry house. No air con. Food in hotel quite good , but 2 other tour parties there at the same time! The rep and the coavh driver were good.
The second tour I have been on with Great Rail. Again it was well organised and I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday.
Our tour guide was excellent and the hotel staff were all very helpful with a nice room. Directions for parking if one was driving to Portsmouth and then how to find the meeting point was NOT very helpful.
The tour was well organised. The tour manager did a superb job. The accommodation and catering were of a very good standard. The coach driver had excellent local knowledge, which contributed a lot to the enjoyment of the trip.

Very enjoyable holiday with a very good tour leader, nice hotel with good staff and meals on time and very tasty. Outings were well planned and very interesting. Vintage buss ride a lovely addition.
Everything (even the weather) went well and - as our last visit was some 10+ years ago - it reminded us of what a convenient and interesting place the Isle of Wight is to visit.
Very enjoyable holiday. All excursions were well worthwhile and we saw red squirrels on our free day!
It was our first visit to the Isle of Wight and we were captivated; what a beautiful island. Too much to see, yet too little time to fully explore. St. Mildred's Church at Whippingham; Osborne House; the model village at Godshill to name but a few........
