Good hotel and best food we’ve had on. Great Rail. First train journey was hugely dis appointing, far too much time looking at the inside of a coach. We didn’t go to the Cider visit because of the heat our friends said that was not good

An excellent experience but it was just too hot and the hotel although very good did not have ac in the bedrooms and some of the lounges.
Wonderful hotel but too much coach travel.
An excellent Tour Guide. Outstanding food at The Imperial Hotel. Service was always a premium. Although one of the train journeys was cancelled, it did not spoil our holiday.
Varied trip. Different locations, Dartmoor and Exmoor scenery outstanding. Lovely heritage railway trips.
An excellent hotel & a probably the best tour manager we have ever had with Colin. Hotel food was exceptionally good. The only downside was having too much time to spend in places like Minehead & Tavistock.

The hotel and food at Barnstaple was excellent. Used my free day to visit Clovelly
This was a well organised holiday but what made this holiday worth the extra star was the tour manager. He was exceptional throughout. Great hotel too.
Very good hotel
An excellent break staying in Barnstable at The Imperial Hotel where the room, food and service were first class. Colin the tour leader was helpful and efficient, always there when needed to offer help or advice, and the coach tours were informative as well as being enjoyable. However, if we have any criticism at all it would be that the final day was a free day and finding a way to spend the time was rather restricted if spent in and around Barnstable on public transport.
My wife had died, came alone but all friendly. Excellent hotel and food - good trips if a little too much on coach
A very enjoyable holiday, several experiences crammed into a few days. The Tour Manager and coach driver were great. It was a pity the weather on Wednesday obscured the views of Dartmoor, but nobody can control that! The Imperial Hotel in Barnstaple was excellent, all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
A well organised tour. Brilliant hotel, meals and bedroom. Will be travelling again.
Enjoyable in parts. Hotel room was basic, Excursions were enjoyable except where you were left in a town for 2 hours with nowhere to go and not a lot to see except the station. Train journeys were fun.

Hotel at Barnstaple top class. Coach experience good though little less mileage would be appreciated. Tour Manager good. Rail journeys well organised and enjoyable. Disappointing that visit to Cider Farm did not include viewing the brewing process. Big benefit if visit to RHS Garden at Torrington could be combined with visit to Dartington Crystal, also Torrington
Nice hotel and good area. Staff friendly - good food. 10 minuets from the station.
A very enjoyable holiday with a good choice of hotel and a variety of destinations. As always, Great Rail Journeys planned, managed and organised the holiday with great efficiency and were helpful throughout, including rail bookings.
