This holiday was our Honeymoon. It would have been nice to have had some recognition from either the Hotel (a free drink) or from Great Rail (a card) as I've seen it happen before when people have a birthday while away. There was a last minute change with regard to the Ferry but Great Rail dealt with it well. The Ascot Hotel was lovely. Both Breakfast and Dinner were Buffet with plenty of choice. They catered for Gluten free. The only downside was that the Hotel is not disabled friendly. Steps at the front door and down to the restaurant. Small lift. The holiday was brilliant. We got to see lots of places on the Isle of Man. Hamza the Tour Manager was fantastic. He produced lots of artwork during the Tour for the places we visited. He was very talented. We certainly want to go back to Isle of Man in the future.

Our time on the Isle of Man was very good but the outward journey was badly organised and the return ferry journey to Heysham was absolutely awful and should never be used again by Gt Rail! No reserved seating on an overloaded shabby ferry and Heysham, to be blunt, is a dump! If I was a first time traveller with Gt Rail this would have been my last.

A well worth trip to Isle of Man using the steam train electric train and tram and horse drawn tram to see the most of this beautiful island. We stayed in The Ascot Hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was very good.

This was our first visit to the Isle of Man and we loved it. The itinerary supplied by Great Rail Journeys was an ideal programme and enabled us to see several towns, castles and beauty spots while enjoying travel by steam train, electric tram and coach. The horse drawn tram along the promenade at Douglas was also great fun and a nod to times gone by so far as UK is concerned. Our tour manager was also excellent and ensured that everything ran smoothly. We were fortunate with the weather which enabled glorious views from on top of Snaefell. The Ascot Hotel was superb- friendly and efficient staff and great food.

A wonderful visit, full of great memories. The travel card was perfect for enabling us to explore the island, using the great little trains and buses at our leisure. Many great walks were available although we did not have enough time to explore them as much as we would have liked to. We would very much like to visit the Island again in the near future.

Excellent tour guide Ken Owen. Kept us all well informed as when to meet up and where. All in all a great experience. The only thing I would take away from this is to book a seat on the ferry in one of the executive lounge’s because a lot of people had to stand.

Well organised trip easy booking, the information received before travelling was great. Our guide Deborah Moss kept us informed through out the trip she even helped with ideas on our free day!! Excellent knowledge that she shared with everyone. The Ascot Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, the good was buffet style with a good choice and always hot!! Coach driver John was helpful and informative especially about the TT CIRCUIT that he drove us on which was not part of the tour but did add interest. Weather also made it a great week!!
