I honestly can’t recommend Marcio highly enough! Before finding Marcio, I had 3 different driving instructors and unfortunately, I failed my test with all of them. I was starting to lose confidence and doubt whether I would ever pass.

Then I started learning with Marcio, and what a difference he made! He was incredibly patient, supportive and professional, and explained everything clearly. He built my confidence, helped me understand where I was going wrong, and made sure I was properly prepared for my test.

Thanks to Marcio’s amazing teaching and encouragement,I passed my driving test FIRST TIME with him!

I came to marcio as an experienced driver who’d already had previous lessons, but I still had areas I was struggling with. I really appreciated that he was willing to take me on and work through exactly what I needed to improve.

He’s such a fantastic instructor—patient, knowledgeable, and really helped me iron out the things I’d been finding difficult. Lessons were great value for money too. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone, whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your driving.

I can’t recommend Simon enough- from the very first lesson he was patient, supportive and boosted my confidence.

Thank you to Roque for helping me pass first time. He is a very good instructor as he was able to teach me in an easy-to-learn manner and was also understanding when I would make a mistake or take a wrong turn/exit. I would recommend him as he is also good at giving easy-to-follow instructions when it comes to parking or difficult manoeuvres

waheed is a brilliant driving instructor!! he is so patient and talks through every single step of you aren’t sure of anything and is so helpful. he helped me pass first time and is just brilliant at teaching everything you need to be ready and prepared for driving. Thank you so much!!

After a year of not driving and my test in two weeks James took on the challenge and helped me prepare for my test. Not only was James very understanding to my circumstances his approachable nature made lessons enjoyable and grew my confidence drastically. With the help from James I was able to pass my test with no faults!

Roque is a Really calm and such a nice person to teach me to drive and help me on the way to passing my driving test first time, couldn’t of done it with out all his help pushing me to do better each time and to always stay calm and slow down when learning! I would highly recommend going to him and to great western academy if you are looking for driving lessons, they are very flexible with times

Awful customer service and poor communication
I had a few driving lessons with a lovely instructor, Cruz, who I was very happy with. Unfortunately, I understand Cruz has since left the company. When Cruz left, my details were apparently passed over to Steve to arrange the remaining lessons I needed before my test.

After waiting a week with no communication, I contacted Steve myself and was told he would check the diary and get back to me. Despite my driving test being the following Monday, I received no further response.

The lack of communication and organisation was extremely disappointing, especially when I was so close to my test. In the end, I had to take my test in a car I had never learnt in and without an instructor. Thankfully, I still managed to pass, but this was certainly not thanks to Great Western Academy.

A driving school should provide reliable communication and support, particularly when a learner has a test approaching. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company and would strongly suggest looking elsewhere if you want a driving school that actually communicates with its customers.
