Designed by Simon King. This feeder defender is the perfect tool to discourage large birds from interrupting the feast for smaller birds. You can often see larger birds clearing out feeders in a single morning, so this product nips that right in the bud.
What you'll find is, after a short while the smaller birds will adjust their movements and comfortably flit between the hanging chains and the feeder. Following that they'll start to use them as perches when feeding or waiting their turn.
Its important to partner this product with a standard feeder, as obviously a wide tray feeder for example will not work in conjunction.
It will not defend against Starlings or similar sized birds.

It remains to be seen if this works or not but I'm sure it will also seems very expensive for what it is maybe the price could be reduced or put free postage in place..

Unfortunately the Medusa Bird Feeder Defender has not deterred the very determined corvids that attack our garden on a daily basis. We live near Rutland water and at any one time we can have a dozen of jackdaws mercilessly attacking the bird feeder ‘protected’ by the Medusa Feeder Defender. We have installed it correctly and the chains are certainly longer than the feeder they are meant to protect. Our corvids perch on the chains and could not care less they are there. We have had to resort to building our own big cage of PVC using the dome of the Medusa to hang it. So I have to say it has been an utter waste of money.

Poor, absolutely no deterrence of Rooks and Jackdaws, despite changing feed to smaller seed... I bought two of these, £50 wasted sadly.
