Sunlight, camera, action! A combination of battery power and solar panels makes this bird box and wildlife camera admire without the wires; able without the cables; use solar without the… molars? (OK, forget that last one.)
This versatile window to the wild is weatherproof, but it’s right at home in the Solar Camera Ready Bird Box included in this pack too. The box is a bit deeper to fit the camera, and it lets in more light via its translucent windows.
We got bored of seeing a black screen after dark, so we added the latest LED night vision technology for continued viewing once the sun sets – the camera’s battery powers it at night and during cloudy days.
We’ve included a 12v power lead which can recharge both the solar panel and camera battery, in case you want some extra camera life during the busy nesting season. You’ll also find a 10 metre power extension cable in the pack, which is handy when you want to give your setup more flexibility.
Add a Micro SD Memory Card (sold separately) and you’ll be able to save the action for future enjoyment. Please format the memory card before camera use. Guide available here
Use the official Green Feathers app to stream live or watch pre-recorded footage in HD, and share the best bits with your (probably non-feathered) friends and family.
Please note; due to the battery powered nature of the camera it does not support Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

When it works it’s great but it spends as much time offline as it does online. Resetting it means taking the roof off the bird box to get to the camera so not at all easy…

Unfortunately I was quite disappointed in this set up. It arrived well packed but the front of the bird box had 2 dents in it with unprotected wood exposed on both. They were very noticeable & would have been seen when packing the order. There’s also a rubber seal at the bottom of the camera & part of it seems to have been ripped/broken? Or it’s a part you throw away. I wasn’t to sure but the break didn’t look clean & instructions & o line tutorials show it in place at all times, with the detached piece still attached & just dangling there (there is a cable constantly in the slot that the little rubber piece is protecting upon delivery). I’m not very tech savvy for someone in their early 30s, but we split our WiFi so that there was a specific 2.4ghz one to connect the camera to as that’s what the instructions asked for. However, connecting to the camera was a bit intermittent & it was maybe 2 metres from the router in our living room, let alone further outside in the garden. We have multiple Eufy cameras at our home & we rarely have this issue with them. If the price were lower it would have been ok but I just couldn’t justify the price.

Extremely well made a lot better than My previous nest box and camera. Have now set it up and watching to see if anything roosts in it during the winter. Very happy so far.
