The installation of extract fans on 30th Jan was carried out by Harry and overseen by Luke. The positioning was very awkward for Harry ,but he did an excellent,neat installation. They were extremely friendly and efficient .A pleasure to meet and fully recommend.
Loft insulation and associated ventilation to doors and windows was then carried out by Greg and Carl(hope names correct!)They were extremely courteous,friendly and hard working. It was all carried out apparently seemlessly, quickly and efficiently. Nothing was too much trouble and they cleared up very well afterwards. Very pleased.

Green and Cosy have recently boarded my loft and they also fitted a loft-ladder. They made some good suggestions and their fitter, John, completed the work to a high standard. He was also prompt, cleaned up after himself and was a pleasure to have around.

Came out quickly to quote, made very useful suggestions as to what was required. A dark dingy large loft was transformed in a day. Now a clean space with boards down and insulated hatch. Sheet put down and small amount of mess removed. Highly recommended.

We had a problem with damp patches on the edges of the ceilings in the upstairs rooms and black mould on both gable ends,Green and Cosy homes did a survey identified a problem with insulation being not fitted correctly causing cold spots and condensation,after adjusting the insulation,fitting vents in the fabric roof lining,and trickle vents in upstairs windows the problem has now been resolved,they are an efficient and knowledgeable company who I would highly recommend.

My experience with Green & Cosy Homes has been a really positive one. They were one of the few companies in the area that offered more than just loft and cavity wall insulation. I wanted to stop heat loss from a large area of sloping roof above the stairs and Tom was happy to come and see what needed doing and advise on options. The work of fitting insulation board and then skimming over was done in a couple of days despite it being a tricky job because of the height and difficult access above the stairs. Dave & Carl (I think) were friendly, cheery and hard-working chaps that took time to explain what they were doing, make sure I was happy and then left the place clean and tidy. It's hard to get good service these days and some companies don't even bother to reply to requests for quotes so this was a refreshing change. They didn't even chase payment the moment the work was done. I would happily recommend to friends and would use again.

Green and Cosy installed new loft insultation in my house and floor boards to make the loft a walkable space. Very smooth experience and a fine job done. Many thanks to Tom and Jon for their time and effort, they knew a lot about building work and catered the solution to my requests. Very happy with the final result.

Green & Cosy installed additional insulation in our attic and fitted boards for storage. The quality of work was good, the staff very hard-working, professional, friendly and punctual. The price was competitive with other quotes.

We had Green and Cosy come out to upsize the loft access, bring the insulation upto modern regs and board out the centre of the space. Very happy with the work carried out and the whole team from office to installers are brilliant. This is the second time we have used them for insulation work on our house.

Short review: Green & Cosy Homes did a 5* job insulating the roof of the car port above which is a bedroom.
Long review: I asked Green & Cosy Homes to examine the sloping roof over a downstairs extension. I wanted the insulation improved. Chris Powis came round, removed a couple of tiles and considered that what was there already could not be improved. I then mentioned that I was planning on taking down the plaster board ceiling of our car port (above which there is a bedroom) and fitting foil coated board between the joists. Chris said that it would be better to fit rockwool because of the risk of condensation. I asked if he could do the work – he said yes and I asked for a quote which I accepted. I have had many past experiences of tradesman cutting corners and doing less than a satisfactory job. I mentioned this to Chris and asked him to call round while the work was being done to inspect the insulation prior to fitting new plasterboard. Alex and Gaby came round to do the work. I watched the rockwool being fitted. Each space was measured and the rockwool likewise measured and cut – the fitted rockwool left no gaps. Chris called round as promised to inspect the insulation. There were places where the insulation was pushed too far up (in my opinion). Chris doubted it was a problem but said he wanted me to be happy and so Chris, myself and Gaby corrected this. Then the insulated plasterboard went up followed by an additional layer of plasterboard as a fire check. In both layers the boards were tight fitting with no gaps. Next day Gaby and Alex tapped and plastered the ceiling – the standard of plastering was immaculate. The edges were finished off with fire-resistant silicone. I was delighted with the standard of work. The depth of the joists was 170mm and 170mm thick rockwool was fitted. There was already 50mm of rockwool in place (which was removed) and this had been replaced by 270mm rockwool equivalent (170mm plus 100mm equivalent in the insulated plasterboard). I am hoping to feel the benefit next winter. Would I use Green & Cosy Homes again – definitely. Would I recommend them – definitely.
