Solar power a must have now and the future. I was just scrolling thru my I pad this past spring looking for nothing particular, especially not for solar power info. Came across an ad by a solar power company, GHS, and it intrigued me enough to dig deeper. The last thing on my mind was to talk with a GHS rep out of California. I live on a family farm in Illinois. To trust anything online is risky. Anyway, I moved forward with my inquiry and soon afterwards was discussing solar power with a GHS rep on the phone. I think you can tell when you are talking with someone you can trust and this individual was all that. Not to get to windy, I dealt with three very trustworthy and knowledgeable individuals and before I knew it the ball was rolling to have a GHS solar system installed on my farm. TOTALLY turn key on my part, GHS took care of EVERYTHING! Within 3 months, I had a system installed that powered my entire farm. Imagine free A/C in the hot summer months. I’m done. Just do it is how I end. And led GHS do it!

The process to purchase solar panels came easily as my electric bill almost reached $700/month at one point so I had to take action to lower my costs. The planning process wasn't always perfect as my original project manager left the company halfway through the project, however, the job was completed with a slight delay and wasn't too much of a hassle. The panels are organized well on the roof and the wiring and boxes on the outside of the house look clean. I had a new electric panel installed and that is now setup nice and neat compared to what it looked like with the old panel. Now that everything is up and running, I have seen a dramatic decrease in my electric bill and the cost has gone down to $150-250/month compared to $500-700. Extremely satisfied with this outcome and would highly recommend other homeowners to purchase them as well.

Our system was installed almost 7 years ago and has been doing its job ever since. The planning and installation went according to plan. I only wish we could have had the room for 1-2 more panels to further offset our utility bills; but there is only so much room. Our utility bill has dropped about $200/month and that is nice.
Overall I am very satisfied with the whole project.

Edit Update 11/19/23: Over a month has gone by and still no word hard to believe it's that hard to issue a check?

-Does not honor their own contracts it's been months since my PTO has been awarded and I have yet to receive my cash back offer that was contracted

-I have been ghosted since the loan company paid green home

-Engineering department can't do simple math if the panels will fit with the fire code set back had to take the system off and remove 6 panels and now I have bolts through my roof with roofing mud

The solar products are outstanding. We really like the the mobile l App that allows us to stay in touch as often as we like.
The warranty is the best but the service was horrendous. It took over six months for the repair to happen so that the system could function correctly again. When the ten minute repair finally happened, and in a month not needing to buy electric, it made us appreciate not needing to pay the several hundred dollars per month that we used to pay.
Our system was built in 2017 and I still have good memories of working with the sales personnel and was thoroughly delighted with the installation crew.
We were pleased with Green Solar and highly recommend your consideration to purchased their products and warranty as the best in the industry.

I know it's a big task to get one of these systems up and running, and you have to be patient getting a system installed after Covid with supply chain problems. It took about 10-11 months to get my system installed due to various delays and supply chain issues. The only reason I'm taking away star is because communication wasn't always the best in terms of delays and at times it was a bit frustrating that it took so long when I was expecting at the longest it would take 2 months. I was hoping to have it finished before the beginning of the summer 2023 but it was finished mid September 2023 and my system was supposed to be started I believe Oct 2022. I unfortunately missed out on a lot of solar production. Thankfully the way it was financed it allows lower payment for the first 18 months. I had to start paying on the system in April even though it wasn't in operation until months later. GHS wasn't always the easiest to contact regarding issues and the lead contractor quit at some point during my install and I wasn't informed of this and a new one wasn't assigned to my system. I'm very thankful for my installer who stayed on top of everything for me the best that he could and the system looks good on my house and seems to be operating well so far. The installer explained that he was having difficulty communicating with GHS as well.

Green Home Systems deserves ZERO stars because they are an unethical company. This company finds young men who have a desire to be independent contractors and then refuses to pay them. Once the work is completed per the work order, they lie to the contractors by telling them the check is in the mail, but the check never arrives. When Green Home Systems receives a call about the missing payment, they then state that the check will be available for pick up on Friday. When Friday arrives the person responsible for preparing the checks has allegedly gone home early. The contractor is told to come on Monday to pick up the check, but then there is an "issue" with the invoices. When the invoices are corrected and submitted again, then they are told that because they submitted the invoices twice, there will be a delay in payment and to pick the check up the next day. When the contractor calls the next day to ensure that the check is ready, they are told, that they will not be receiving payment for the work they performed as outlined in the work order. The owner of this company and his employees should be ashamed of themselves for being so unscrupulous. I would strongly encourage of all the subcontractors to ban together and file a class action lawsuit against Green Home Systems. Additionally, I would encourage all of the dissatisfied customers of this company to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

10/14 Update: Despite making contact with the owner of this company who promised to get the matter resolved, it remains unresolved. Unfortunately, customers are getting caught up in the matter because subcontractors now have to file mechanic’s liens against the service addresses.

On top of saving me tons of money, they made the process easy! Our installer was wonderful, and very professional. Left the work site cleaner than it was when he started!

I would give zero star if I can! I have to pay both my utility company as usual and Green home systems every month as of today due to their unresponsiveness in arranging final walk-through of the installation with the city. They simply don't answer any call after installing solar panels on my roof ( I called hundreds of times). But in order to use the solar system, city needs to approve it. It is Green Home System's responsibility to set up the walk through. They never did it (it has been 3 months), and I can't use the solar power!!!

Customer support doesn't exist. I called my project manager, the sale lady and customer reprehensive. Each of them responded once, promising a solution in some time. But nobody ever picked up the phone again. It has been 3 months.

So, think twice before you select Green Home Systems. They appear VERY professional in luring you into buying their system. But they will ditch you right after like the way they treated me. Also, don't trust any sale incentive. They still owe me $1000 sale incentive they wrote in my contract. They just don't pick up the damn call.

We had our solar installed more than 6 years ago… we now only pay a very minimal connection fee to the power company ($16.) we used to pay $250-$500 Per month. Based on our investment cost the system has already paid for itself through energy savings. It has a 25 year warranty, although we’ve never needed it. Two years ago the inverter was upgraded at no cost to us. The installation took only one day. The entire process, customer service, installation and follow through has been a fantastic experience. We are now creating GREEN energy and saving GREEN money.

After researching different solar companies I choose Green Home and have been pleased ever since. Stanislav was very patient and helpful. He took the time to answer all of my questions and walk me through the entire process.
I was please to know that Green Home handled the entire process in house with no outside people.
Green Home contacted me when my original converter quit working and replaced it. They then noticed that my converter was offline earlier this year and help me get it back online so I could continue to save money. I'm a very pleased customer since 2019.

Green Home Systems hired us to install a complete solar system for a homeowner in WI. The system was installed over 10 months ago and we have yet to get paid. GHS has acknowledged in numerous emails that they have received our invoice and have scheduled to pay it out. If you read through the reviews this is a pattern for anyone doing work for GHS. We now have to file a lien on the homeowner.

Worse customer service ever! my system went down in April of this year. it took almost 10 weeks for them to fix and i had to fight to get someone on the phone. customer service is a voice mail that no one returns. i had to call the financing company that financed my solar to have someone from green home systems to contacted me after i threatened to stop paying. this is the second time my system went down. also, the owner contacted Yelp and had some of my reviews removed. i was updating via yelp because that's the only thing he cared about was the reviews. honestly... solar is a scam! the amount that's produced vs what you pay for them is not worth it at all! and by the time you pay them off they're outdated and only producing "80%" of the newly installed or so they say. its a pain to try and sell your home with solar. it doesn't increase the value of your home and the buyer has to assume payments of them if they want to buy the house. i was told by the company the lean can be temporary removed to sell then paid off. not true. and getting youre roof fixed is a nightmare. its just not worth it!

originally had GHS install solar at my home, and was so impressed that I then had GHS install Solar at my second home, rented to my daughter. She was also very pleased and happy with Solar and noticed that her monthly SMUD bills have dropped dramatically from $125 ot $300/mo to about $27/month. So, if you are looking for a reliable and honest company who will perform a quick and professional installation, clean up all debris, instruct you on how to best benefit and use the system, and follow up periodically to offer assistance if needed....then look no further. GREEN HOME SYSTEMS does it all!

The company addressed all our questions, kept us informed of how, when or where the installation would take place. Our panels were installed as agreed and within the estimated time frame.

My experience with Green Home Systems was outstanding. I worked with Will and Anat and they helped me with all of my questions and understanding the whole process. They guided me through every step, addressing all my questions and concerns with patience.

I'm already seeing the positive impact on my energy bill. Green Home Systems turned what could have been a complex decision into an easy and rewarding investment in renewable energy for my home. I highly recommend their services to anyone considering solar panels.

This is my second time using Green Home Systems and I highly recommend. They installed our system quickly and updated us throughout the process. Moreover they were the best value after getting several estimates.

The people at Green Home Systems were delightful to work with. The system is up and running and producing three or four times what I use. So far so good! Hopefully, the power company will give me a good rate for my kWh!

They make it so easy and explain it all before you start. It's all bout the future. Going green is what we all need.
