Bought from a garden centre and basically a bag of dust nothing bigger than an inch and a half. Took agrs to hest in a chimney starter and no heat in the weber very disappointing. Dont bother.
Ignored my specific instructions regarding delivery. Poor service.

The first set of logs were delivered wet right through and would hardly burn. When they did burn it was very smoky and you could hear the steam escaping. I have to say though that they recognised the issue, and a set of replacement logs was delivered this morning having been checked for moisture. Very happy. Thank you.
We've used the briquettes and lump charcoal for some time and found it to excellent in all sizes of barbecue (lump charcoal is brilliant in fire bowls) and our Ooni pizza ovens.
In all of our dealings we have found the company to be friendly and genuinely helpful.

My poor dad didn’t get even a phone call to apologise no effort was made to deliver 3/1 after bank holiday on the 4/1 he rang every number and could not get through so having paid 16/12 he had in wood for Christmas then not one apology the delivery guy even rung me despite me giving them his details they kept trying to blame me despite me being very OTT with my emails where I let them know the payment had gone through 16/12 including my dads address phone number order ref! My poor dad ended up not able to have fires and he ended up cancelling this order - terrible customer service and system errors seem to be the norm no effort made to apologise to my dad he was left chasing them told them he’s got an illness and to ring the day before with timings they didn’t they just rung me 20 mins before delivery hence why we cancelled it in the end .
This whole experience was a farce I will no longer use them for my wood I’d recommended them to my dad so it was embarrassing to myself given I took time to convince my dad to splash out. My three Barrow bags I got we’re definitely smaller then my previous order and I have used it all up nearly where last time it felt worth the money the prices have gone up but the bags are different and smaller a real disappointing outcome and a shame for a small business but I feel truly let down and utterly dissatisfied
Placed an order on 16th December for my dad including screen shots of the bank transfer the order ref and my dads address it’s now the 1st my poor dad still has no idea when he will receive his order that cost £179 I have chased and chased and they have actually tried to blame me ? Very worrying that because I’d placed an order over a week earlier for myself the think it’s ok to say they got confused how ? I used the individual ref they provided emailed at the time I did the bank transfer- it’s a real shame as I really had to work hard to convince my dad to give them a try! I’ve suggested given how much time I’ve wasted chasing them and do their job for them and how it’s now after Christmas and still my dads had no wood or a phone call etc they provide some sort of goodwill gesture they are still happy to blame me ? Very worrying as they should see when £179.90 comes into their account and emails arrive in their inboxes !! Utterly gutted for my poor dad and fed up
I placed an order for premium heat logs on the 21st November. Immediately I received a confirmation for the order which confirmed delivery within 5-10 business days due to high demand. After 16 days (7th December 2022), I tried to call to check the status of the order, but after several attempts, I found that nobody answered the phone. I therefore emailed, and requested an update. I didn't get a reply to this email. I therefore send a stronger worded email a couple of days later showing my frustration. I received an apology eventually on the 12th December promising that the order was with the couriers and it would arrive "within the next couple of days". It didn't arrive. So, I again attempted to call and found that still nobody answers the phone. So I send an email asking them to cancel the order and reimburse me as I had lost confidence in the company to deliver the order. This was on Friday the 16th December 2022. I was assured by Josh that the order was out for delivery with Pallex and to expect it that day. Of course, the order did not arrive. Monday 19th December 2022 I insisted on reimbursement. I didn't receive a reply until 20th December explaining that the couriers had lost the order and that it has again been shipped and to expect it in 5-10 working days. I have responded insisting on a reimbursement. Of course, this email has so far been ignored. So, 1 month since the initial order, I am without heating logs and down £127. I have also since ordered and received logs from elsewhere.
After reading all the positive reviews about this company I placed an order for kiln dried logs in good faith I would receive the same level service . The logs were delivered on time however we were unable to burn them because they gave off an acrid smoke which caused out eyes to water and was extremely unpleasant.
We called the company and were offered a replacement delivery which we happily accepted and at the time were pleased this was offered . However it’s now a month since this was offered and even after additional phone calls and emails we are still stuck with the original logs which we can’t burn and no up date since 5th December on when we can expect the replacement. This really is not good and most definitely not consistent customer service . We are left feeling frustrated and disappointed in what we felt at purchase would be a good experience
Having previously used this company before, I placed an order on the 13th November and clearly stated on my order I would like to be contacted before dispatch to ensure I was working at home the day of delivery. The company failed to send through a dispatch notification or acknowledge my request,
To my anger I returned home from work last week on the 21st of November to find the order had been delivered and dumped in the pouring rain. Over a £150 worth of wood and kindling soaked. So totally useless until it’s dried out.
I immediately contacted Green Olive Fire Wood and give them their due they responded straight away with the following
“ Thank you for your email and your honest feedback. We take our feedback very seriously and I cannot apologise enough, I am very sorry you have had such a bad experience with our company. The service you have received is not good enough and are not the standards I except for our customers.
We are currently in a period of transition with new staff and new management. We have just invested in a new process for all our drivers which will notify our customers the schedule of a delivery with us at different points during their order process, so they know when to expect it and it will give customers time to plan ahead.
We are learning from this and listening to all our valued customers
Due to the level of service, you have received, I will organise a new delivery to you at a time convenient to you and a full refund.
I hope we can look forward to your business again”
On the morning of the 22nd I responded to this email, stating I accepted this offer, complete radio silence until I emailed again on the 25th.
I was the informed on Sunday 27th that Green Olive Fire Wood had spoken to the courier and the replacement wood and kindling would be delivered today, Monday 28th. What utter bull. I have been working at home all day and the tracking information provided suggests it’s still with the seller.
So the best advice I can give for anyone tempted to use this company, don’t waste your money and go to Coal2U, excellent service, deliveries to suit, fast delivery and helped delivery drivers that don’t dumped wood in the pouring rain
Two days ago the regular delivery driver came by (unannounced) but this was to put things right and to swap the wood so this is very much appreciated. I wasn't home but they deliver the original order and clearly wanted to make it right and fix the issues so even so our email exchanges might have gone quiet for a while looks like these guys genuinely cared and wanted to fix the issue. Hence why we are updating this review to make it right. Took quite a while but at the end they fixed it so kudos to them!
We have used this company for over a year and spent in a year about £1,500.00 - Our last order was for £250.00 at the end of August but delivery took 6+ weeks to arrive with an awful delivery service. When the wood arrived, the quality of the wood was terrible. The wood was damp, too wet, hard to burn, way too much humidity. We highlighted this issue with video evidence and spoke to the company (Andy) yet the email exchanges were pretty slow and at the end unanswered. To finish they told us on October 9th they will swap the wet wood for regular (dry) wood but after emailing us this offer we never heard from them again. I am all cool with mistakes when they are fixed but I have my limits. Stay away, poor traders.
Poor quality wood. Supposed to be dense, but logs are super light and burn within 5min. Delivery was poor, driver refused to go to my private back access road even though I have a disability. Pointed this out over the phone and they said no problem, but then said delivery is only kurb side. Much better quality wood out there and much better service. Appalling.

Will happily take the money but no interest in trying to create a workable solution after the problems occur. There are only so many second chances a company can receive. Order cancelled and time to try someone different.
I ordered some pro lump charcoal, and without prior notice a delivery turned up. Unfortunately the driver accidentally drove into my neighbours fence, damaging it. Despite the large bang, the driver then proceeded to drive away. My neighbour and myself have both reached out to the company, putting faith in the fact the accident was a genuine mistake. We have not received a reply. Luckily enough my neighbour is a solicitor and the incident was recorded on CCTV. As a result my neighbour has taken the issue up with the authorities. Not a good start to a new customer.
Ordered oak wood with lighters, arrived in good time by a very helpful delivery driver. Kept in the loop with delivery times and had a tracker for the delivery on the day which was a god send.
Wood is great and will definitely be ordering again.

Delivery was prompt and easy to arrange time, and the driver bought the wood to the front of the house.
The logs themselves had a good level of moisture, but were 100% birch which burns quickly. Would have been fine if it was part of a mix with other slower burning hardwoods. But as it was only birch, I would not order again.
