I recently completed a safari to Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater with three friends, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless and exceeded our expectations.

The team at Green Planet Safaris was incredibly responsive during the planning stage, providing clear details and thoughtful recommendations while ensuring all our questions were answered.

Our guide welcomed us warmly upon arrival, and his professionalism and deep knowledge of wildlife made the journey even more special. His ability to locate animals from a distance and navigate the vast plains of the Serengeti was remarkable. Thanks to his expertise, we were fortunate to see all of the Big Five, along with numerous lions, as well as multiple cheetah and leopard sightings.

Throughout the safari, the attention to detail stood out. From well-prepared hot lunches and beautifully arranged picnic setups to a comfortable and well-equipped vehicle, every aspect was carefully considered to enhance our experience.

Overall, this was an exceptional safari that we will cherish for a lifetime.

My husband and I have travelled with Green Planet Safaris several times both as hosts of a group and as a couple. Each trip has been wonderful. Felix and his staff are great at organising an outstanding trip handling bookings and payments seamlessly. They are also really good at dealing with any problems that may arise from events outside their control such as delayed flights and lost luggage. We have travelled with Green Planet Safaris to Kogatende (for the crossing of the Mara River), to northern, southern, eastern and western Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Arusha and Ruaha. Even though Ruaha is remote, the trip planning was exemplary and Felix was superb at dealing with the unexpected little things that are an inevitable part of travel to remote areas. We have been to Tanzania in the rainy season and in the dry. When it's wet getting bogged is almost inevitable, but not a problem as Felix and his drivers carry appropriate equipment and know how to use it to get underway again safely. Felix and the Green Planet Safari drivers are safe on the roads, knowledgeable about routes and knowledgeable about their vehicles which are well-maintained. They understand how to navigate the administrative systems of Tanzania's beautiful parks to give visitors the best experience.

Most important for the visitor, Felix and the Green Planet Safari drivers understand wildlife and know how to find animals. They know the names and habits of the animals, birds and plants in the Tanzanian bush. They also understand photographers and intuitively know how to position their vehicles to give visitors the best light and the best view while being respectful of other vehicles. Non-photographers enjoy this too. On several occasions, Felix and Davis have located cheetah and that enabled us to photograph cheetah hunts. We have been fortunate to see spectacular crossings at the Mara river and have sat with lion prides around recent kills. They have found us all the common animals that visitors hope to see as well as other, more elusive creatures such as serval, caracal and leopard.

The first safari I did with Felix, owner and guide of Green Planet Safaris was in March 2008. From that first safari together I realized his deep knowledge of the entire Serengeti and Ngorongoro ecosystem and that his guiding skills meet the needs of any wildlife photographer. We have done many photographic safaris together since then. Last one was this September 2023 to witness again the great migration crossing the Mara river in Northern Serengeti. It was wondeful and he was very professional once more time.
I have no doubt he will plan a safari that will match the needs and expectations of everyone willing to have once in a life experience in the wild.
