I had an appointment regarding my…mental health

I had an appointment regarding my mental health. I basically got called a liar even though I had an appointment with a psychiatrist a week previously who confirmed my condition. The gp said to not take medication I had and to have cbt and it would resolve itself. My condition is not something curable with cbt as it has occurred as a result of brain surgery. Again they said no that is a lie
I also have epilepsy which I take two different medications for . The gp told me I should be only on one . I feel so insulted I cried after the appointment and had to submit another request for appointment. What a joke this place is

Cancelled appointment

For the purposes of this review 1star may be on the generous side, but, in fairness and the light of good service I have received in the past, 3 stars would be more appropriate.
I am 88 years old and have Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is an auto-immune disease and is affecting my lungs. In spite of taking every precaution to avoid infections, including always being fully vaccinated, I caught Covid at the end July/beginning August. I felt really bad and on 4th August Maidstone Hospital delivered anti-viral medication to our home. - Unfortunately, I continued with a heavy cough throughout August and into September, which made me feel drained.
We are told that if a cough persists, people, especially the elderly, should seek medical advice. I did so on Monday 8th September when I phoned Greensand Health Centre in Linton, stressing my poor state of health and asking for an early appointment. - Iwas given one by e-mail for Friday 12th September at 3.45 pm, not as soon as I had hoped. On Friday morning I received a phone call from the Centre notifying me that the doctor who was supposed to see me was not available and that my appointment would have to be re-scheduled. No further news from the Health Centre materialised as the day progressed and by mid-afternoon the thought of another week-end full of coughing was a ghastly prospect. - In desperation, I contacted a private GP and was lucky enough to get a 5 o'clock appointment on the same day. The lady doctor whom I saw diagnosed a lung infection and prescribed a 5-day course of antibiotics, which, I am very glad to say, have nearly eliminated my debilitating cough. This service cost me £108 out of limited financial resources.
I have had no further news from Greensand Health Centre about the re-scheduling of my cancelled appointment and can only assume that I have been forgotten about. - On the telephone, their recorded voice asks you to be kind and polite to their team (I can't see how anybody could be anything other than that) and the voice continues ..'and remember, we are here to help'.??

Useless practice

If you don’t feel well go to the hospital is the advice I was given by this surgery! The lights are on and there’s a coffee shop but they don’t want to see sick patients!
The hassle I’ve had in the last 2 years from this surgery is disgusting they are useless! Simple things I’m diabetic all I want is a blood test for an up coming appointment at the surgery with the diabetic team from the hospital being held at Greensands in 2 weeks and they can’t fit me in for a blood test!
I had to beg the hospital to take me on as patient because this surgery is incapable of administering the proper medication for my condition! 3 years my medication hasn’t been working properly and this surgery have just given up on me I should be dead they wouldn’t care! Bring back Harold Shipman at least I’d be getting enough insulin

Incompetent and uncaring health centre

I was advised by my surgeon after my operation at Maidstone hospital to book an appointment with a nurse at greensand health centre at heath road Coxheath Maidstone Kent to have my stitches trimmed and my wound checked but was told that there are no appointments available.
Normally, I wouldn’t complain about this but they received my surgeons letter two weeks prior to needing an appointment and assured me that one would be available.
When it was orchard medical practice, it was very efficient and an excellent service but since greensand decided to merge with the original practice, it has been constantly run inefficiently and with an extremely unsatisfactory service.
My advice would be to choose a practice where you can actually get the important things you need done, greensand health centre is not a place that are able to offer this, regardless of importance.
Obviously the staff here are incompetent, and have no regard or caring for those needing important care.
UPDATE: to the credit of this surgery and probably as a result of this review, greensand’s have reviewed the situation and offered me the much needed appointment as of 1/8/2024.
To me, this proves the benefit and power in submitting reviews on Trustpilot.

You wouldn t want your loved ones being taken care here

This Surgery has no management, it is being run by staff who is rude, incompetent, reckless, has poor general skills. It is very difficult to get an appointment when you need or something from the front desk. Service is poor, most staff disinform you instead inform you. Suggestions are not valued in this family business.

Go somewhere else

Poor service, policies and procedures do not apply. Save yourselves some trouble and go somewhere else.
Just a quick note: this same review wasn't accepted by NHS at their website, they only approve the nice one's. They sent me an email stating i had to be more specific, i wrote this and still they didn't approve it, had no answer and found out there are even shorter reviews than mine, go figure.
