What a load of baloney, our Green Thumb franchise was great UNTIL they were 'taken over'.
Now thanks to those, I assume, accountants, HR specialists and head office wonders who have probably never seen the customer facing side of the business , I believe they are in danger of killing a great business. But do they care, correspondence comes from unsigned and unnamed individuals, perhaps one could assume they might not want to be identified with a migration plan that does not appear to have been tested out and they appear to have been forced into 'the big bang approach with what appears to be a total lack of preparation for a migration.
The competition must be delighted and the customers are frustrated.
The view 'We are from head office we are here to **** it up for you. Sounds to be truer than any other takeover I have seen over many years in business.
How well they have succeeded. I feel desperately sorry for the excellent customer facing staff you had and those operatives who are still great in the field but are wasting time placating customers of the perceived incompetence of head office and possibly the directors/owners.
The field force are a credit to the Green Thumb franchises but now the apparent faceless wonders in head office appear to want to destroy their jobs and career. Please Green Thumb wake up and put your customers and customer facing staff first. Remember that if your 'front end' doesn't work there is no jobs for head office as without sales and service you have no future.
Whom ever is in charge of this migration should really consider their position
Martin and Dylan from the Glasgow branch have visited to scarify & aerate my lawns and did a professional job, cleared-up afterwards and looked totally tidy. I have use Greenthumb for many years and I'm always impressed with their work and work ethic. As always they have undertaken the job professionally and timely and are always very pleasant. They happily give advice when required or asked for. nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend them.

Robbie from the borders came to aeriate and scarify my lawn. He did a very thorough job and cleaned up well after the treatment. While he was here we discussed the state of my lawn and possible further treatments. Robbie is clearly experienced and knowledgeable. I am happy with the service provided.
Reviewing on behalf of my Mother-in-law…..
The services were cancelled at the beginning of January and was told that all payments would now be cancelled.
On checking my Mother-in-laws bank account in February could see that Greenthumb had taken the next months money. Contacted them to say and they apologised and said the money would be refunded. Exactly the same then happened in March and lo and behold exactly the same happened in April.Both times I contacted them and they now need to refund 3 months of payments.
My Mother-in-law is 90 years old and her husband has recently been taken into a Nursing home so things have been pretty stressful.
I really feel that this Company are really taking advantage of the elderly.
I spoke with Greenthumb again this week to give them the opportunity to put things right before reviewing…. After speaking with the lady in the office who was going on annual leave the next day said her Manager would contact me and guess what….. no call. So here is our review!!!
AVOID THIS COMPANY and make sure your elderly parents avoid them as well.
I have been a customer for 5 years and have received a good personal service . However I believe the business changed hands last year and everything is controlled centrally now. Sadly they don’t reply to emails or even notifications in their own portal and the phone number is a call centre. All I want to know is when they are coming next and lord alone knows how you can communicate with them . In the meantime they have just called at my neighbours. I am going to cancel my direct debit if I don’t receive a reply within the next 3 days . That said, they have started to bombard me with almost daily marketing emails .
This company has been treating my lawn for over 15 years and it could not look much worse. It is full of moss, daisies, thistles and dandelions.
Darrin and Edward came today to aerate and scarify my lawns. They did an excellent job and left everywhere tidy afterwards. In addition, they gave me excellent advice about dealing with the areas left a bit bald following extensive building work.
Communication with this company is excellent, they always tell me in good time when they are coming and what and need to do or what I should avoid doing.

I do not know what is going on but I keep paying and no one turns up! And no one replies to emails. This is after I was upsold the hard surface treatment. Very disappointed. And lord alone knows how to contact anyone.
Yet again today no one turned up for their appointment.
Darrin and Edward came and they were so professional. They explained what would happen and advised on different services Greenthumb had to offer. In addition they cleaned up leaving no mess. Great lads who do a great job
It was too cold to do my winter treatment in January. They said they’d rebook me. Well it’s now mid April and I’ve heard absolutely nothing. Meanwhile my lawn looks shocking. The worst in my road and nobody else gets lawn treatments. Just try phoning them! Stuck on hold for ages. If you’re undecided about Green Thumb then please look for someone else to tend your lawn. It’s a shame as the guys that attend are nice, but everything else is very bad indeed. They make it impossible to contact them. There is no live chat as they claim. These people should be shut down.
I would like to express my total satisfaction with the service I have just received from 2 of your employees. I believe they are Howard and Jamie from your Canterbury branch. Their courteous manner and professionalism is a credit to themselves and your company and any success they achieve is very well deserved. Please pass on my positive comments to everyone involved.

Awful company, did my in-laws garden left them 14 bags of rubbish, my in-laws are both housebound how on earth are they supposed to get rid of it, my mother in law phoned them she is still waiting for a reply from the manager this is 6 weeks ago
Also the ground was far to wet what they did to the garden it looks a mess,
Green thumb will not be doing there garden no more what and awful rude company
