I stumbled across Greenwich Market Trader while looking online for a replacement cantilever brake coil spring for a bicycle. At a little over £1 for a spring, the price was entirely reasonable, and international shipping to Canada was a few pounds. Few vendors nowadays including on Ebay sell specific replacement parts for bikes, especially not for older/vintage ones, let alone at this price.

After I placed the order the seller (Mike) contacted me both to confirm the order and to make sure that the spring would work properly with my brake, since it's intended for use with a different brake model. Mike initially suggested an alternative, but after examining a photo I took of the damaged spring, he ultimately believed that the original spring would still be a safer bet. The order was shipped this morning from the UK and is scheduled to arrive within three weeks, which is quite fast for economy shipping to Canada.

So in summary, the store catalog is extensive and includes parts that are difficult to even find elsewhere, the price was very reasonable, and the service I received was excellent doubly so considering that it was for a single cheap item. I would definitely recommend this store.

I needed a particular spare part and a web search directed me to Greenwich Market Trader. I was a little dubious as the web site doesn't seem very complete but thought I'd purchase the part from them, I was able to pay by PayPal and it arrived in a couple of days. I also received an email from mike advising me that it was on its way. Great service and a brilliant find in this case, as there didn't seem to be anywhere else in the country which had this particular spare part.
