Great removal team let down by appalling management
The removal crew themselves were excellent—professional, efficient, and courteous throughout. Unfortunately, the experience was completely undermined by the manager’s conduct. He was disorganised, confrontational, and at one point threatened to leave the job half-finished late at night over a standby rate invoice that had never been sent. so not paid. even his own guys could not believe his attitude.

The lack of communication and accountability was staggering. What should have been a straightforward move turned into an avoidable ordeal.

Avoid this company unless you’re prepared to deal with serious managerial incompetence.

This removal company has good people on the ground.

The lads doing the physical job were respectful and hard working.

The manager/ owner of the company was away for an extended cruise during which time my credit card was subjected to successful unauthorised payments totally £8000.

Natwest bank have been hopeless in their response to recover this money and it is now nearly 7 weeks since this occurred.

They say this is a retail dispute and not fraud because a payment for the removals had been received previously. In their view this does not therefore constitute fraud. I do not understand how three unauthorised payments to the company does not constitute fraudulent activity.
There were other unsuccessful attempts to extract money but these caused my credit limit to be exceeded.
These days the very smallest transactions need to be verified - with Natwest this is on their app. Why did this not happen on these occasions with Greenwoods ?

The reviews indicate that this happens repeatedly when people entrust this company with their credit card details ....

Thought I chosen wisely as this company had been recommended by Henry Adams Estate Agent. Carl came to my property, all seemed professional and seamless. Until after the removal day. When I discovered irreparable and serious damages to my property. Due to their negligence, lack of care and slapdash attitude.
After much back and forth and heated emails, an agreement was made to reimburse me £250. I now get silence. No replies to emails, no answering my calls, no money deposited into my account…. CROOKS!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

Team on the day were great. Polite, respectful, helpful, accommodating and worked hard resulting in stress free move.

However, the following morning, Sunday at 8am, three successive attempts were made by Greenwoods to charge very large amounts (£5k, £10k & £15k) to the credit card previously used to pay for the removals. Thankfully my card company declined payment.

On calling, the company owner said this was due to a systems error by his developers testing a payments platform. The company should not have been using my card for any such purpose if that had been the case.

Massively disappointed this took place.

About the sixth time I have used these guys, and as ever an absolutely top job. Professional and friendly team, more than capable of doing job. Really good guys. Trustworthy. Competitive prices. Made a stressful move really easy.
I can’t fault them.

Would not recommend, unfortunately an expensive marble table was cracked in half during transit, despite Greenwoods packing this themselves. They are now refusing to pay for any damages and claim they are only insured up to £50 ONLY if all items are packed by themselves, even though the table in question was. Avoid if you care about your belongings and furniture!!

Greenwoods Removals were fantastic! Sasha and Carl moved us from a top-floor flat in Pulborough to a house in Burgess Hill, and they were both efficient, fast, and most importantly, careful with our items.

No items were damaged, and everything was packed well in the van. They also gave us a competitive price. Would highly recommend them!

We were quite anxious during the move, particularly worrying whether we'd be able to fit everything into the van and the safety of all our stuff. The two delivery men who helped us were incredibly helpful and reassuring from the moment we booked them. Very quick to respond and support us in the lead up. The delivery men were incredibly professional, careful with every item and friendly too. Thanks again for all your help! Will definitely be recommending to friends!
