The new interface looks really good. It's a lot faster and easier to navigate. I appreciate that they're working with existing customers to help them.

The Team is awesome!! They got back to me in a timely manner and got back to me with in 24 hours. I had a subscription that didn't show on my dashboard, they reached out right away and resolved my issue. Fast and efficient service!

I've been a customer and supporter since 2022 under the founder's different brand. Overall, the product was great, they went through some growing pains and a bit of a quiet periods, however, they're back stronger than ever under GrootMade.

Ever with the expected hurdles of relaunch, my experience has been a positive one so far, I'm excited to see where they take the platform from here.

I can download plugins/themes as originally promised.

I'm raising my rating to 3 stars to reflect the resolution.

However, the process was unnecessarily difficult - requiring a public review, identity verification, and multiple emails before restoration occurred.

Future customers should be aware this company's support and communication could be significantly improved.

I purchased a lifetime license for Festinger Vault in 2024 for $200.

In late 2024, Festinger Vault was forced offline due to legal action from Automattic (owner of WordPress/WooCommerce). The legal battle lasted several months and legitimately disrupted service - this wasn't entirely their fault.

After settling, the service relaunched as GrootMade. However, the execution has been problematic. Original lifetime license holders were initially told they'd have access to the new platform, then this was reversed. Lifetime customers are being moved back to the old platform while the new GrootMade platform requires new subscriptions - effectively invalidating the lifetime aspect of the $200 purchase.

Even before the lawsuit, there were ongoing problems: outdated plugins/themes, no update request system, unresponsive support for months/years, and technical issues.

After the settlement, my Active lifetime license shows 0/0 downloads - completely non-functional. Support remains unresponsive. When I raised concerns about my lifetime license during the transition, my account was banned entirely.

The company offered to restore my access if I leave a review on TrustPilot. This is problematic - what does access mean? Full license reinstatement? Just login with 0/0 downloads? Will I need to pay more? No clear terms were provided.

The community forum has been reset multiple times with customer posts disappearing, making it difficult to track issues or hold the company accountable.

As a European company, GrootMade operates outside US consumer protection jurisdiction - credit card chargebacks are difficult after dispute windows, small claims court isn't practical internationally, and customers have very limited recourse.

When the service worked, the library selection was genuinely useful - which makes the current situation more frustrating.

I understand the legal battle was disruptive. However, the post-settlement handling of lifetime license holders is concerning - no clear communication, revoking lifetime access after customers paid $200+, expecting customers to pay again, suspending accounts of those who ask questions, and offering restoration in exchange for reviews with unclear terms.

If honoring lifetime licenses became impossible, the ethical response would be clear communication and refunds - not account suspensions, vague restoration offers, forum resets, and radio silence.

I'm writing this honest review despite uncertainty about retaliation. Potential customers should know about the legal battle context, the post-settlement handling issues, limited recourse due to international jurisdiction, and unclear terms about what lifetime actually means with this company.

I'm willing to update this review if my lifetime license is fully restored with clear terms and actual functionality.

I do suspect that other lifetime members have been put into the same position to provide 5Star reviews. FestingerVault use to be a 'community support' site and Martin was supported by finacial donation to keep the site going in difficult times, now one must asked if GrootMade is even barely etical.

Grootmade themes and plugins habe helped our websites enable enhancement features. Great value! Great support!

I’ve been using GrootMade for a while now, and honestly it’s been a pretty smooth experience. The biggest thing for me is convenience — having so many plugins and tools in one place saves a lot of time, especially when working on multiple sites.

The auto-update system is also really helpful since I don’t have to manually download and install everything again and again. It just makes the whole workflow easier.
