I purchased a service through Groupon…

I purchased a service through Groupon that was never provided due to an issue on the service provider’s side (equipment failure on the appointment day). Despite this, the voucher was marked as “redeemed.”

I provided Groupon with full documentation, including evidence that the service was not performed and that the provider failed to respond to messages (even though they were read).

Unfortunately, despite clear evidence, Groupon refused to issue a refund, relying solely on the provider’s claim that the service was used.

In my opinion, this reveals a serious flaw in their system – Groupon does not verify whether a service was actually delivered and bases decisions entirely on the partner’s statement, even when the service was clearly not performed.

Customer support was slow, repetitive, and ultimately ineffective in resolving the issue.

The case has been escalated through a chargeback procedure with my bank and reported to consumer protection authorities.

I do not recommend Groupon – there is no real customer protection when issues with partners arise.
