Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. First, goggled for a locksmith from Norwich and the locksmith I got certainly wasn’t that.
Had problems with. Upvc door locking mechanism which meant I couldn’t lock the door. Was told he would have to order a new mechanism which would take 4 or 5 days to get. Went onto his phone calculator and after a while told me it would be £500 to fix a temporary lock so I could lock the door while waiting for new mechanism and £1,500 for replacement new mechanism.
You can imagine what mine reaction was!
Told him politely I wasn’t interested. To rub salt into the wound I had to pay £160.80 for Emergency Call out (which I had not asked for) andLabour costs.
I don’t think I have to say anymore!
Found a local locksmith on Trust a Trader and got it repaired for £163.00.
