Guy's & St Thomas's transport

Guy's and St Thomas's hospital transport booking department has got worse. I tried ringing today and was hanging on the line for one hour and thirty minutes before being cut off and a message said they had closed 30 minutes earlier.

A bad experience turned Good!

After having a nightmare experience with the transport driver, the transport team at St. THOMAS'S site saved the day. I would nominate Jessie and Sonni for a customer services award. Not only did Jessie calm me, he followed through with investigation into what went wrong. Then resolved the matter. Both Jessie and Sonni were sincere, professional, helpful supporting my 98 year old Uncle and I today. Whilst waiting for transport to take my uncle home, I could see they love thier job, how they interact with customers/ patients. They do it with a smile. I sincerely hope you appreciate these two . They represent very well. I want their efforts yo be acknowledged.
Thank you.

Visiting from Australia: blown away by the service

Visiting from Australia, I got sick over evening meal and an ambulance came quickly, did first few tests then took me to St Thomas A & E. All these staff demonstrated the utmost care, compassion, professionalism, and top knotch communications. This beats any service we could expect in Western Australian hospitals, where ambulances wait for hours on end to even admit all but the most endangered patients. NHS you should be proud of this and every ambo, nurse, doctor, blood pressure tester etc are heroes and should be recognized for this. You guys ROCK, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Steve

If the whole NHS were like this ☺️

My father dislocated his hip. The care at St Thomas’ was absolutely amazing. The professionalism of all the staff, the kindness, the communication - all beyond anything I might have expected. I cannot praise every single person we saw highly enough. Thank you

Fantastic cataract operations

I have had cataract operations done on both my eyes by the Eye Care Unit at St Thomas's. I have nothing but praise and admiration. Under Miss Low and her team, I was brilliantly looked after. Everything was explained clearly. They could not have been more friendly, as well as totally professional. Thank you!

Unprofessional Reception but Good Medical Care

The emergency front‑desk nurses at St. Thomas’ Hospital seemed more focused on dismissing me than helping. They even asked why I had come there instead of going to a hospital closer to my home. I chose St. Thomas’ because it was near my workplace at the time I needed medical assistance, but their question was awkward and made me feel as though I wasn’t being taken seriously. The doctor, however, was the complete opposite, very professional and respectful.

I would like to say a big thank you to…

I would like to say a big thank you to the St Thomas’ Hospital A&E children’s team, especially consultant Sebastian, A&E Dr Danielle Murray, and nurses Julia and Josh, for the excellent care Gabriel received on Saturday 17/01 night and on Sunday 18/01. Everyone was kind, professional, and reassuring throughout, taking the time to listen and explain everything clearly. We are very grateful for the compassion and dedication shown by the whole team.

I had an appointment and the doctor could not even speak good English. She wouldn’t even let me speak. The quality of client care has gone down the hill. I left feeling unheard and scared not knowing what was going to happen next.

Emma Still

Yesterday I had the pleasure or otherwise of a visit to Guys Dental. I got a call at 9:30am saying they could see me early, my appointment was 2:30pm. I got there for 10:45?and was seen by just past 11. My dentist was Emma Still. She was young but assured and it soon transpired that my appointment wasn’t going to go a planned. She dealt with situation with professionalism beyond her years. We planned a path forwards. I was left with the impression that there was a fine dentist in the making and certainly a very good communicator and problem solver.

RADIOLOGY DPT! Spent two and half hours waiting for someone to answer my call. First it was an hour and twenty minutes. When I reached number 1 in the queue it was simply disconnected. Called back and spent an hour and 15 minutes waiting for an answer. When I reached number 2 in the queue I was disconnected again! ZERO STARS!!!

My daughter was taken there today and I was called to go by the Police. At a time when London is mad busy and with a new flu epidemic, the service and care was excellent. Both the HCA and the Doctor were attentive, listened, cared and moved her through in a well supported and timely manner. thank you

I have been treated at both Guys and…

I have been treated at both Guys and St. Thomas's Hospital over the years and have always received the best treatment. Last week I was taken to St. Thomas's by ambulance after a call to 111 as I kept fainting. The paramedics were kind and professional. In A&E I received the best treatment. I was seen by several clinical staff, all of whom were so professional and friendly. They kept me updated every step of the way. I was then admitted to Becket Ward and received the same, high level of care there. I am so grateful to have been treated by such wonderful staff. I am also glad that I live so close to two such great hospitals!

Hospital is the pit it is disgusting

Any way of giving-100 the sleep clinic at nutfiled house sleep apnea. They have discharged a Sleep patient with no good reason although I’ve moved to Northern Ireland they said they would do video calls then they said they couldn’t but we was doing this in 2020 because that’s what they wanted to do. They think Northern Ireland is in England well this is funny because the people that work there now are all the doctors the engineers the nurses very very rude no help whatsoever. My actual doctor was the best there, but he’s now moved to Dublin and I can see why he disappeared because Guys and Saint Thomases have gone to the pit you do not discharge someone and let me get this right it’s because I’m white because the rest of the people there are all foreigners very rude very aggressive. Do not give it a damn about the health of their patients. so the only way they can do it is just charge and this wasn’t even from a doctor. This was from the secretary who think their doctors so I would actually like to know what the doctors actually think about this. The whole place is a joke Guys in Saint Thomases you are useless. I would suggest no one going here because there is nothing good about this hospital when they discharge someone with no care back up.

If I could give it 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars, I would.

The only positive experience I had was with the security staff, who were polite and understanding. Unfortunately, the urgent care desk staff were the complete opposite…unhelpful and dismissive.

Two days ago, I was wrongly directed here by a 111 nurse, only to be turned away and sent to St Thomas’ A&E. Today, after St Thomas’ told me I was “fit and well” despite ongoing symptoms, I returned to the urgent care centre, this time with confirmation that I have tonsillitis. Yet again, I was told to go back to A&E.

When I arrived at 7:20pm, two staff were sitting at the desk scrolling on their phones while a sign announced early closure. I was told to go elsewhere…40 minutes before closing time. Why are patients being told to come here if you’re just going to shut early and turn them away? It’s a complete waste of time, energy, and resources.

This constant back-and-forth, being dismissed twice despite clear symptoms, is unacceptable and borders on medical negligence. Patients deserve better than this.

23rd July 2025, 100% Best Care and Service EVER!

Having fought with the NHS to get help with my Mallet Finger Injury, I went to my GP, who was amazing and caring, well done Dr Bohmer, Welling. This lady tried twice to refer me to hospitals, which after 11 days resulted me in attending Guy’s and St Thomas,

Attending A&E, I was redirected to Urgent Care, upon arrival, Frances booked me into the system, within 10 minutes NP Jacky, dealt with me and sent me for X-rays, I waited no longer than 10 minutes, had, my X-ray and returned to Urgent Care, and within 5 minutes I was seen again by NP Jacky.

100% amazing patient care and absolutely the best service for a central London A&E Urgent Care Service. Truly caring and wonderful service and the best patient interaction EVER.

Truly, Thank you

update as of 17:30 today.
Aforementioned 'doctor?' rang, belittled my disabilities and started having a go. This guy should be in a circus, oh wait, guys and St.thomas's is one.
I wonder what their mortality rate is? According to CQC, safety leaves a lot to be desired, why does that not surprise me.
As dr.austin doesn't have a clue about people, maybe there is a training course gstt can send him on!

Great, caring staff. Thank you so much!!!

I had been suffering from some serious dental pain for 3 days consistently with no relief. It was to the point where I would’ve preferred being unconscious, painful to live, talk, swallow, everything.

The nurses at the hospital were so pleasant, kind, understanding and brilliant with their service that any worries, or preconceived notions I had went out the window. Fantastic people and thanks to their help, I will now be able to sleep more than 2 hours without am infection waking me up.
Seriously couldn’t be more grateful

Usless doctor

I went to see a doctor for pain management in January 2025. I was hoping to gain a procedure which my former doctor told me about that only Guys does. The doctor then told me I didn't the condition (Arthritis of the spine) which I was told I had by a previous doctor. He did not give me any convenience as to what he was talking about. He then sent me for a scan. I had to wait until March for the MRI scan to be done. I then phone up to make an appointment to see the doctor about the results of the scan. I had to wait two months for the report of the scan. Fortunely I don't live anywhere near St Thomas and went local for treatment. I am now having a procedure in June to get rid of pain. I understand waiting lists and its not a life threating condition yet there is no communication from Guys and they seem they don't care. Oh I do have arthritis of the spine. Useless doctor.
