GTmetrix is an outstanding tool for analyzing and improving website performance - but you need to logged, okay!! Its detailed reports make it easy to identify issues that affect load times, from large image files to inefficient scripts or server response delays.

I especially appreciate the clear grading system, waterfall charts, and recommendations that help developers prioritize what to fix first. The integration with Lighthouse and real-device testing options make it even more valuable for modern web development.

The interface is intuitive, results are easy to interpret, and the comparison feature helps track improvements over time. Whether you're optimizing a small website or managing enterprise-level projects, GTmetrix provides reliable, actionable insights that can significantly boost performance and user experience.

Highly recommended for anyone serious about web optimization!

Use to be free to use

Use to be free to use. Now after only doing one scan, it's asking me to pay. Even after deleting my saved scan, I can't make a new one so now I've lost the scan I've already done.

They give no indication on if it's one scan per month or one scan forever so I don't know if I'll ever even be able to use the stupid thing again without having to pay for it.

Even if you had a paid plan you did not…

Even if you had a paid plan you did not have to be deceptive about it.
Tell the users to sign up for the plan before they run a scan.
They don't have to do their users dirty by making them wait for the scan before telling them to pay for it.
What a waste.

Total waste of money, even if someone purchases a paid plan.

GTmetrix used to be a go-to website when it came to measuring a website's score for optimization. It offered limited scans for free, which many people loved. However, in recent changes, they have removed the option for a free scan. Moreover, they are now requiring payment before providing reports for websites. Their basic plan includes only 25 scans per week, which is insufficient considering the price they are asking. This change has been very disappointing.

What heck happened to GT Metrix? Ruined.

What heck happened to GT Metrix? It was the go to place to get a quick speed test of a website. You could pay, and get a hell of a lot, or a free account to base it in the UK or other certain locations, but it was free. Limited to so many per day, but free.

And even with no account, you could run a free test from the Vancouver account.

But now:
You can run a free scan, but you MUST get an account to even witness that account. And if you get an account, you can only then run up to 5 tests - and that's it. NOTHING more.

GTM - what on earth have you done?
How to ruin a very good service, in just a few steps.
Ruined.

free no more...

gtmetrix is no longer free to use.
1st you have to create a account to scan site + get results, you can scan site but what's the point if can't see result? when you have a account, you can only scan your site 5 times, then you have uppgrade / pay in order to scan your site, this is fvckin crazy / insane, there are so many other scanners out there, that you can use for free, why pay for gtmetrix? pointless, and waste of money

Feeling disappointed!

Feeling disappointed!
I joined GT Metrix a few weeks ago, and today, I received an email with a price increase. I sent an email to the support department explaining that I just become a member. And the reply was just an auto-reply explaining the same as the first email. Pretty crap service! I will be looking elsewhere.

good for fix website speed

I have been using it for a long time, it is a very good tool for designing and developing a website, and you can identify and fix the flaws and shortcomings of your site, although the previous version of the site was more understandable.
