Do not purchase warranty from Guardian Protection

if there was a "zero star" I would rate this company has such. They do not fulfil their warranty to repair your furniture. I purchased the warranty to guard against stains on the upholstered chairs. I filed a claim to have the stains cleaned and they denied the claim. I also filed a claim as the bench is coming apart and they denied the claim. they are scammers- they take your money for warranty coverage and deny every claim that is submitted!

Guardian plan Terrible

I bought the guardian furniture protection from Becker Furniture world for a recliner. After three months, the motor stopped working. Had to do a virtual visit my seven-year-old husband had to turn the recliner upside down, get a flashlight and look underneath the motor for a serial number. We are still waiting for Any action at all at from this company. So far it's been a month without a recliner.

Scam! Guardian Protection Plan

Scam!! this company is a big scam in the name of furniture protection plan.
Once you file a claim, they'll find a reason to deny it (doesn't matter what kind of damage it is, they are going to deny it).
They are paired up with big furniture store like Rooms To Go, sales rep will say accidents happen, this and that! your new couch, new bed etc could be at risk of damage/stains. GPP covers everything for you!
But once you pay for guardian plan, you are on your own!

Worst company I've ever seen

Worst company I've ever seen. Makes ever excuse as to why they can't fix anything, regardless of the extended warranty purchased. The reviews and company is trash. Please beware.

Claim Process

If I could give a rating below zero, I absolutely would. In my experience, this company takes customers’ money and denies valid claims based on unfair and narrow judgments — often without physically inspecting the furniture.

It feels like they’re collecting service fees without delivering the promised support, leaving customers with no real options for resolution. Even major retailers like Rooms To Go should reconsider partnering with them due to the way they treat their customers.

I paid for a service that was later refused, and that’s extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this company to anyone — don’t waste your money or time. Their customer service is unhelpful, and the process feels completely one-sided.

I rarely purchase warranty coverage on…

I rarely purchase warranty coverage on purchases and after my experiences with Guardian I never will again.
It's a scam, covers little, I had a button failure on an expensive couch and no coverage existed. I recently filed a claim for chocolate stain on the same couch and after being proactive and a pain in the butt secured an appointment for a "technician" to assess repairs and report back. After that time a repair order will be scheduled. It will be two months before service! Guardian obviously doesn't have the necessary vendors to support justified claims. This is probably because they do everything they can to deny. No service is easy to provide.
Guardian may be a good company but their warranty division is worthless. I hope every dealer who offers their coverage stops offering it and the warranty division of Guardian drys up and goes away.

Claims Denied

We purchased a recliner from Homestead Furniture. We also purchased the 5 year protection plan. Well after 4 years the recliner motor started acting up. It would freeze in the up or down position. Guardian just denied the claim because they said we didn't report the issue within 30 days. However the issue was intermittent. $1k down the drain. Never buy anything from Homestead or their useless protection plans.

Do NOT buy Guardian protection

Guardian is so unbelievably incompetent and really, REALLY bad at what they do. We purchased the protection plan at Ashley Furniture because we have a small dog. They disingenuously tell you that a one time pet accident is covered. Guys, it's not. They wouldn't cover the foam insert and said they would replace the cover after not one but two different techs came out to the house. THEN, after a couple months there was still no replacement sent out. When I called them and told them (after going back and forth between them and Ashley), they said if I don't receive it in 90 days, call them. And then, minutes later (you can't make this up), they sent me an email requesting more pictures and that if they don't get those in 30 days the ticket will be closed. Seriously, this is embarrassingly bad. Guardian, you should try another field to work in because you let down customers daily.

HORRIBLE- ZERO STARS

I bought this warranty through “The Room Place.” It took about a year for them to say they couldn't fix my couch. The motor broke, and the footrest was stuck up (still is). That whole process was a disaster. Took FOREVER. I settled for a gift card for the amount of the couch (3/22/25). In the meantime, The Room Place was closed in my local area, and the closest place to go was about an hour away. They only gave me 30 days to claim this gift card. I didn't see that email for about a week. I got really sick and was so tired that I had no energy to shop for furniture. I'm feeling better now and went to check on my gift card via email to go this weekend. I noticed it had already expired at the end of last month. They couldn't do anything besides offer me $89.99 credit for the warranty I purchased. My gift card was worth over 3.5k. They said they couldn't do anything for me since The Room Place went out of business on 3/25/25. I highly DO NOT recommend this company. I'm sure they are ripping off people left and right. How can I be so accommodating for them taking so long, and when something out of my control happens, they can't help me? I'm a business owner, and this is a poor way to run a business. I'm very disappointed and mad.

Impossible to get in touch with them

Impossible to get in touch with them. Live chat wasn’t available when it was within the hours on the site. Tried calling, it told me there was a long wait and it would put me on the call back list and i could expect a call within the hour. No call. Emailed, no reply. The plan terms and conditions lists everything they don’t cover (which is basically anything you can think of) but it doesn’t tell you which “specific incidents” they do cover.

Five months wasted

Purchased through Ethan Allen. Headrest was stained. Shipped me the replacement cover. First service man said he did not have what he needed. Second service man had all the parts but the job would take longer than time he was allowed to he put a gash in my drywall as he was repositioning a small cocktail table. Waited 5 months for nothing. Do not buy Giardian Warranty.

I called up on November 27

I called up on November 27, 2024 for a repair on my recliner which I bought from PC Richard. It is now February 10 2025 and I am still waiting for a repair. Every time they get in touch with you by email, it's 5 business days to get a reply. Horrible service.

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience! Faulty Furniture & Worthless Protection Plan!

I trusted Guardian Insurance to cover my furniture protection plan when I purchased my items from Bob Discounted Furniture in April 2022. However, when I filed a claim (Claim Number: 2784429, 2791763, 2791759, 2791752, 2784427, 2784422) for defects on both my coffee table and sectional sofa, the claim was denied. The coffee table began showing discoloration and spontaneous paint peeling, while the sectional sofa developed widespread lint on the fabric, lost cushion firmness, and faded color—all occurring under normal use and careful handling. The outright rejection of my claim, despite these clear defects, has left me questioning the value and reliability of Guardian Insurance’s coverage. I strongly advise anyone considering their protection plans to think twice, as my experience clearly demonstrates a lack of genuine customer support and accountability.
