Never ever heard of them until they tried to defraud my credit card, but lucky for me my bank notified me and did not process the transaction.
Needless to say, I had to cancel my card as scammers like them will continue to try and push through their fraudulent request.

I am a seller on gumroad. My payouts have been paused. Their support responses are made by AI pretending to be an Employe in their support team named "Eva". I am totally done with this kind of scam.

Totally scam!!! I bought dumps for an exam. The questions had nothing to do with the exam, and more than that, the answers were wrong anyway. Couldn’t even get a refund from Paypal for this scam.

Horrible website for consumer. Tried to switch levels of a monthly subscription and I just got billed at the original rate (more). No customer support.

This company is a complete Scam. Do not use them to buy anything. I brought a product on their site that turned out to be a fake made up posting for something the seller didn’t actually have.

I brought the product paid the money and the seller never sent me anything. I contacted Gumroad many times for assistance and they completely ignored all my emails and did absolutely nothing. I ended up having to contact my bank to get the transaction reversed through them. The company is a complete scam. All the reviews below mine say the same thing. AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS, IT’S A SCAM. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY!!!

I have an issue with a seller on Gumroad and asked for a refund from the seller. Gumroad informed me that this is the procedure and should the seller not respond within 30 days I should then let them know and they would make sure I receive the refund. I have followed this procedure and informed Gumroad a week ago and again 3 days ago. They are now not responding. Will never purchase off their platform again. Its disgracefu!!
28/10/2024 Update. Despite further emails sent to this company I am yet to receive a response from them. I have just sent another.
05/11/2024 Update. Further emails sent. No response or acknowledgement received. Customer care non-existent.
13/11/2024 Update. Despite almost daily emails to them I have still received no response/acknowledgment from them. It seems they are in a hurry to take money but ignorant and selfish when it comes to refunds. I wonder how much correspondence I would be receiving if I owed them money?!! Scammers!!
21/11/2024 Update. Same as my previous update/s. Avoid this company, especially if you need customer care support!
26/11/2024 Update. Still no response despite sending further emails. If you think you may need there customer support then avoid at all costs. They are active because they did originally respond to me but now that I have followed whatever procedure they required and owe me a refund there is no response.
03/12/2024 Update. Still no response from these people. Absolutely no business ethics from what is supposed to be their "support" facility. Avoid at all costs if there is a chance you may need their assistance. Eventually people won't purchase from the sellers that use their platform.....

They’re stealing all the money. All your hard earned work is gone due to one measly email they send you stating you’re “temporarily suspended” when in fact they’re taking everything and permanently preventing you from withdrawing. Do not recommend. Bail now.

I don't have issues with the people who use Gumroad to distribute the files.
I have an issue with Gumroad's use of the captcha. I can not get past it. I have better luck with the multiple choice but with the other, I just keep getting try again until it tells me to completely try again latter to complete the charge

MMF is much better and not a pain in the ass to get your purchases..

This platform is bunch of scammers. It appears they are calling themselves as a small company, but they are living off scamming sellers. Had sales for thousands of dollars only to end up in an account temporarily suspension and upon inquiring what went wrong - the support was like well, we don't want you in our platform so we will no longer respond to any of your concerns. My thousands of dollars balance worth of money was also stolen, no response from them. Turns out account is permanently suspended. I have spoken to my lawyers and will be filling legal lawsuit against them. Save your time and do not use this platform. Once you start making money - they will take it all.

This company is scamming people, never paid me for all my hard earned money, sent multiple emails never got a response, been waiting for 20 days now and never got a single payout.

I will report them to commercial instructions in the UK for this criminal behaviors.

Racist mod wouldn’t open me an account. Excessive fees per transaction even stripe seems better rn. Do not sell your products on this website it will be easier to just buy hosting make it on Wordpress and sell with stripe.

I've been using Gumroad for 6 years. Setting up my online store was easy and I've had a great experience selling digital products in that time. Wouldn't think of switching to a different online store.

Some great features of Gumroad:

-Incredible customer support

-I can e-mail all my customers time from within Gumroad which makes updates easy

-Great accounting and analytic tools for doing taxes

-No annual fee to use the site

-Refund a sale in one click

-My products appear in Gumroad searches

-Generate discount codes for customers

-Over pay and tipping option at check out

-Owner of the company responds to my e-mails

-Add anyone as an affiliate and give them a cut of your sales

The support never reply, just post the scam information in their public channel, and do not pay to them, you won't get anything

HORRIBLE SITE. Every step of the process sucks now. Cannot view any reviews for a product, except the fake glowing positive ones they force on the product page. Library screen is AWFUL and wastes so much space making it difficult to browse.

Horrendous customer service! I’m still not able to log into my account and the customer representative, Jayson, has been terribly unhelpful. I remembered the email and password but cannot login with two factor because I no longer have access to that email. So I contacted customer service and they asked me to prove my identity by providing details of what I purchased and when. I provided a detailed list of what I purchased and the seller I purchased from, but noted that I no longer have my credit card information because the purchase was from years ago. Jayson’s response was basically that my information was wrong (without telling me what was wrong) & then he asked for my credit card information. I don’t think he even read what I said! I spent so much time just trying to get into my account. Plus they respond in the middle of the night, like at 9pm, rather than during the day. The company is based in Sf, California, so it makes no sense. They don’t respond during business hours.
I advise avoiding gumroad if possible. These ppl don’t know what they’re doing. Responses are slow and unhelpful.

I opened a store on their platform 2 weeks later I received an email to tell me that your account is temporarily suspended.
I contacted support to find out the reasons, I never received an answer .

This company stole my earnings, approximately $50, and disabled my account without any humanity

I worked on a course for weeks and all the content disappeared. Painful nightmare. I should have just paid for another platform. Never again. over 20 modules gone

This is a complete trash company.
I made my first sale today, delivered the (digital) product to the customer only to discover my account has been closed after 2 hours.

This is happening to a lot of people and they don't even give valid reasons. I recommend to stay away from this company

I subscribed to a paid service of a seller, it never happened. no communication or feedback. Zero assistance from Gumroad, not interested in helping. They are happy to protect and harbor these scam vendors they carry. Stay away from this website and its sellers.
