Proceed with caution
If you have used these treatments in the past and are sure of post care and your reaction, you may visit. However, if this is new to you, I'd advise you to visit another clinic. I went in to soften fine lines + refresh and oxygeneo was advised. I enjoyed the session and bought a package. NO POST TREATMENT CARE WAS ADVISED. By the 2nd day, the face darkened so much I couldn't recognise myself, smile lines became more defined and darker. I wrote to them and shared my experience and when I came for the 2nd treatment, we did a hydrajet which gave only minimal improvement. By the third session, I specifically asked for a plan to reverse the effect as I was very upset that my face was so dark, much more darker than the rest of my body. The lady in the clinic refused to listen to me, showed no empathy at all only reminding me that the different treatment was more expensive than my package and it was all board certified. She told me to my face that my skin improved and there was no darkening. I asked to speak to the owner via phone who reiterated than my skin had improved despite the fact that she didn't see me on intake. She implied that I wasn't speaking the truth about my results. Eventually, she recommended a treatment plan for home use and I asked that the price be discounted given that I didn't come in with a skin tone problem; she became upset and asked that I take my balance and leave as I complained too much, I refused this saying I had travelled over an hour to be there. Eventually she decided to come in to the clinic and I asked that she looks at my intake photos and take new ones for a side by side comparison. When she saw the comparison, she started apologising profusely and gave me the treatments for free. However, my 1 star rating is because of the way they made me feel, like a liar and a time waster. I am suffering the impact of the reaction and they could not be professional and sympathetic. It is unfortunate that we had to go through all that long drawn conversations instead of looking at the pictures first. I had written a mail 2 days prior requesting that we look at the pictures to reach a treatment plan. When I walked in, I asked for the same thing but they were more interested in being defensive and telling me how effective their treatments are, with no care for me. For every great product, there will be exceptions and how you treat exceptions differentiates you.
Response:
Your response and the mindset behind it is what prompted me to write a review. The focus is more on your business and less on the client's unfavourable outcome. I am the one who has to deal with a patchy skin, something i have not had in over 10 years; the aim of visiting your clinic was defeated, I no longer make video calls with my family as I don't want to answer the question around what happened to my face. Not to talk of the time now spent on research and money on alternative remedies. After you confirmed from photos taken at your clinic that indeed my skin darkened considerably and I developed hyperpigmentation, you gave me home peels for free and I appreciated it. However, after 2 uses I decided to stop as my skin is already compromised and I had flare ups which gave more patches of hyperpigmentation. I believe it's a good product but the timing for my skin is not right. I have now visited another clinic that has an intake form that indicates that in the event of an adverse reaction, I should return immediately for a restorative solution - this is super important and what i believe your clinic lacks - the mindset to resolve unexpected outcomes respectfully and with empathy. I also am concerned about if you really understand all skin types to even determine what the right restorative plan would be per client. This is why I'd advise potential clients to proceed with caution.
